Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Injuries from overexertion or poor technique, especially in the lower back, shoulders, wrists and knees.
- Pinching and entrapment in moving parts such as the sliding seat, the chain/belt, pulleys and folding hinges.
- Strikes from the sudden return of the handle or the cord if released suddenly.
- Falls or instability due to uneven or slippery flooring, or insufficient clearance around.
- Trips over the frame, the rail or console cables.
- Dizziness, dehydration and overheating during intense sessions.
- Slips due to water spills if the model includes a tank.
- Electrical risk when using plugs or connections near moisture or with wet hands.
Safe use
- Place the machine on a firm, level surface, leaving clear space around it for the travel of the handle and the seat.
- Before starting, check that screws/bolts, footrests, straps and handle are secure and free from wear.
- Adjust the footrests correctly and tighten the straps; wear closed-toe sports footwear and clothing that will not catch; tie back long hair.
- Maintain a stable, neutral posture; warm up and increase intensity and resistance gradually, staying within your limits.
- Stay hydrated and stop if you experience sharp pain, dizziness, tingling, numbness or shortness of breath.
- Hold the handle at all times and control the return; do not let go or allow it to strike the end stop.
- Keep hands, fingers and objects away from the chain/belt, rail and seat rollers during use.
- Keep children and pets away from the area while in use.
- If your model has vents or air intakes, do not cover them; if it has a power cable, route it to prevent tripping and do not handle it with wet hands.
Storage and maintenance
- Wipe away sweat and dust after each use and dry surfaces to prevent corrosion and odours.
- Keep the rail free of dirt; lubricate the chain or guides only if specified by the manufacturer and with suitable products.
- Periodically check screws, straps, chain/cord, seat and footrests; replace worn or damaged parts.
- Store the machine in a dry, ventilated place away from moisture, rain and extreme heat; avoid direct sunlight.
- If the model is foldable, lock the locking mechanism before moving or storing.
- To move it, use the transport wheels; do not lift it by the rail or the chain; ask for help when going up or down stairs.
- If it includes a powered console, switch it off and unplug it before cleaning; remove batteries if it will not be used for an extended period.
- If the model uses a water tank, handle it carefully to avoid spills and follow the recommended water treatment; for long-term storage, empty or treat the tank according to the manufacturer's instructions.
