  • Strangulation from cords or ties, blind cords, mosquito nets or toy ribbons/straps.
  • Entrapment of head, neck or limbs between slats, the base, fittings, or in gaps between the cot, mattress and wall.
  • Falls from rolling, sitting up or climbing, especially where side rails are not properly locked or bed guards on children’s beds are insufficient.
  • Tipping or movement due to unbraked castors/wheels or from being pushed.
  • Bumps, cuts or splinters from edges, protruding screws or damaged parts.
  • Overheating due to overdressing or placing the cot near heat sources.

Safe use

  • Assemble the product according to the manual and check stability before use; retighten screws after the first few days.
  • Use a firm mattress of the specified size, with no gaps around it. Do not add mattresses, pillows or wedges/positioners.
  • Keep the sleep area clear: no cushions, padded bumpers, nests or soft toys.
  • Place the baby on their back to sleep and use light bedding or a sleeping bag appropriate for their size and the room temperature.
  • Set the base to the lowest position when the baby can sit up; keep side rails and mechanisms securely locked.
  • Position the cot away from windows, shelves, sockets, curtains and cables; avoid gaps between the cot and walls or furniture.
  • If there are wheels, engage the brakes; avoid leaning or sitting on the sides.
  • Remove mobiles and hanging toys when the child can reach the edge; do not use cords to secure accessories.
  • On children’s beds, install the recommended bed guards and check they are properly fitted.
  • On bedside co-sleeper models, anchor the cot to the adult bed and avoid gaps between the two mattresses; keep adult bedding away from the baby’s space.

Storage and maintenance

  • Regularly check screws, joints, slats and side rails; retighten or replace worn or damaged parts.
  • Do not modify the structure or drill; use only compatible spare parts from the manufacturer.
  • Clean with a soft cloth and mild soap; dry thoroughly to prevent damp; do not use abrasive products.
  • Air the mattress frequently; if it gets wet, dry it completely before using it again.
  • Protect edges and parts when disassembling for moving or storage; check that everything is intact when reassembling.
  • Keep tools, spare screws and the manual out of the reach of children.

Restrictions of use

  • Stop using the cot when the child can climb out by themselves, or when they exceed the dimensions or weight recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Do not use the product if any parts are missing, there are cracks, deformations, or mechanisms that do not lock correctly.
  • Do not place more than one child in it unless it is designed for it; do not allow children to play by jumping on the cot or bed.
  • Do not place the product near stoves, fireplaces, radiators or other sources of direct heat, or in prolonged direct sunlight.
  • Do not hang bags, heavy mosquito nets or corded toys from the side rails.
  • Do not use old, misshapen or incorrectly sized mattresses for the cot or bed.
  • Supervise especially when the child is awake in the cot or, for children’s beds, if they can still fall or climb.
