Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Burns from excessively hot water or sudden changes in temperature.
- Slips and falls on wet surfaces when turning on the shower or adjusting the flow.
- Water damage to walls and floors due to leaks, loose connections or breaks in the shower hose.
- Impact or injury from the showerhead or tap body coming loose if not properly secured.
- Deterioration of seals and finishes caused by harsh cleaning products, potentially leading to leaks.
- Frost damage in unheated bathrooms or in properties left closed during winter.
Safe use
- Before getting into the shower, let the water run and check the temperature with your hand; adjust the flow and mix gradually.
- Point the showerhead towards the tray or wall when turning on to avoid a direct jet onto your body.
- Do not pull on the hose; place the shower handset in its holder and hold it by the handle.
- Close the tap after use without over-tightening and check that there is no unusual dripping.
- If your model includes a temperature limiter or safety lock, use it according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Before cleaning or carrying out minor maintenance, turn off the water at the isolation valves.
- Avoid abrasive or acidic products and metal scourers; clean with a soft cloth and a suitable descaler, and rinse thoroughly.
Storage and maintenance
- If the product is not yet installed, store the parts in a dry place, protected from impact, moisture and frost; keep the protective covers in place until installation.
- Periodically check the condition of the hose, seals and connections; replace any component that is cracked, swollen or rusted.
- Remove limescale regularly to maintain a steady flow; dry the tap after use to reduce deposits.
- After building works or water supply interruptions, let the water run for a few seconds with the showerhead pointing towards the drain to flush out debris.
- In unheated rooms or during prolonged periods of non-use, close the isolation valves and protect the tap against frost.
Restrictions of use
- Do not use the tap, showerhead or hose as a support, step or grab handle; do not hang heavy objects from them.
- Do not modify, drill or dismantle internal components; do not block the water outlets.
- Do not use the tap outdoors or in areas exposed to freezing unless expressly stated by the manufacturer.
- Do not use it if you detect significant leaks, loose parts, cracks or impact damage to the tap body or hose.
- Children, older people or those with reduced mobility should use the shower under supervision and at a moderate temperature.
- Avoid using the tap with pressures or temperatures outside normal domestic ranges; if you notice loud banging in the pipework (water hammer), stop using it and have the installation checked.
