Main risks

• Minor cuts or pinching from direct contact with the blades.
• Skin irritation or redness, especially on sensitive skin or with very dense hair.
• Risk of electric shock if you use or clean with water a model not designed for it.
• Painful pulling and snagging of hair or beard if the guide combs are not properly fitted or the hair is tangled.
• Overheating of the appliance or the charging adaptor during prolonged use or on soft surfaces.
• Risk of cross-contamination if the hair clipper is shared without proper hygiene.

Safe use

• Before starting, check that the blades and guide combs are clean, dry and securely attached.
• Use the hair clipper only on clean, detangled hair; if your model is not suitable for wet use, always use it dry.
• Keep the skin in the cutting area taut with your other hand to prevent pulling, and reduce pressure on the skin in sensitive areas.
• Keep the blades away from eyes, ears, raised moles, wounds, eczema or irritated skin.
• If you notice excessive heat, an unusual odour, abnormal vibration or loss of power, stop using it and allow it to cool before continuing.
• Corded: keep the cable away from water, sharp edges and walkways; do not pull on the cable to unplug.
• Cordless: charge on a stable, non-flammable surface; use only chargers and accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
• Disconnect the appliance before changing accessories or cleaning.

Storage and maintenance

• Clean the blades after each use, removing loose hairs with the brush. If recommended by the manufacturer, apply a drop of the specified oil.
• If the model allows, rinse the removable parts with water and dry them completely before reassembly.
• Do not use abrasive products or immerse the body of the appliance unless expressly indicated.
• Store the hair clipper in a dry, ventilated place, away from humidity and bathroom steam.
• Protect the blades with their cap or cover to prevent knocks and deterioration.
• Do not use or store the product with a damaged cable, deformed plug or visibly swollen battery.
• Recharge periodically if you do not use it for long periods, following the manufacturer’s instructions.

Usage restrictions

• Not suitable for children. Keep out of their reach and supervise inexperienced teenagers.
• Do not use on people with open wounds, active skin infections or burns in the area to be treated.
• Do not share heads or accessories without proper cleaning between users.
• Do not use in the shower, bath or near water unless the manufacturer clearly states that it is water-resistant.
• Do not modify the appliance or force the fitting of incompatible accessories.
• Do not use on pets or on body areas for which the product is not specified by the manufacturer.
