Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Slips and falls due to wet or soapy floors around the bidet.
- Scalds from water that is too hot or from sudden temperature changes.
- Cuts or injuries from breakage of the sanitaryware due to impacts or rough handling.
- Leaks and flooding from loose connections, worn or damaged hoses, or faulty seals.
- Skin and respiratory irritation from using harsh cleaning products or from mixing chemicals.
- Electrical hazard in models with electrical functions due to moisture, damaged cables or poorly positioned sockets.
- Entrapment with soft-closing lids or seats, if fitted.
Safe use
- Check the stability and fixing of the bidet before first use and periodically.
- Open the tap gradually and check the temperature with your hand before bringing skin close; also adjust the spray pressure gently.
- Keep the floor area dry: clean up splashes immediately and avoid spilled soaps.
- Do not stand on or use the bidet as a step or support; sit centrally and avoid leaning on the rim.
- Do not insert objects, wipes, oils or other waste that could obstruct the drain.
- For models with electrical functions, avoid handling plugs or controls with wet hands and keep cables away from splashes.
- Fully close the water controls after use to prevent drips.
Storage and maintenance
- Before installation, handle the bidet with care: it is fragile. Store it on a flat, stable surface, protected against impacts, frost and excessive moisture.
- Clean regularly with a soft cloth and neutral detergents; avoid abrasives, metal scouring pads, strong acids or concentrated bleach. Do not mix cleaning products.
- Rinse and dry the surfaces to reduce the appearance of stains and slips. Dry the metal parts after use.
- Check hoses, valves and seals periodically; replace any component that is cracked, swollen or shows signs of corrosion.
- On electric models, disconnect from the mains before cleaning and do not spray water directly onto electrical components or controls.
- If it is not going to be used for a prolonged period, close the water shut-off valve and, if applicable, disconnect the power supply.
Restrictions of use
- Intended for personal hygiene. Do not use it for drinking, washing dishes, clothes, tools or pets.
- Not suitable for young children without adult supervision; set the temperature and pressure to gentle levels for them.
- People with reduced mobility or sensitive skin should use it with particular caution and, if necessary, with assistance.
- Do not use the bidet if it shows cracks, loose fixings, visible leaks or damaged cables/sockets; discontinue use until it is repaired or replaced.
- Do not modify the product or drill the sanitaryware; use only compatible accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
- If the bidet includes a lid or seat, do not sit or lean on them unless they are designed to support weight.
