Bidet Lids

Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Finger pinches when lowering or closing the lid, especially near the hinges.
  • Sudden dropping of the lid with possible injury or damage to the bidet ceramic.
  • Instability or movement if the lid is poorly installed or the fixings are loose.
  • Minor cuts when handling hinges or fixings with sharp edges during assembly.
  • Material deterioration from harsh cleaning products that may cause discolouration, cracks or corrosion.
  • Slips or falls if the lid is used as a support, seat or step.
  • Risk of ingestion or choking on small parts (screws, caps, washers) during installation if children are nearby.

Safe use

  • Check compatibility with your bidet and follow the manufacturer's instructions for installation.
  • Tighten the fixings until the lid is secure, without over-tightening to avoid damaging the ceramic.
  • Open and close by holding the lid at the sides and do not let it drop; keep hands away from the hinges.
  • If the lid has a soft-close mechanism, do not push or force it; allow it to lower by itself.
  • Check that the lid does not hit taps, walls or other fixtures when opening or closing.
  • For cleaning, use a soft cloth and neutral cleaners; avoid scouring pads, solvents, concentrated bleach or acids. Do not mix products and ventilate the bathroom.
  • Wear gloves during cleaning to prevent skin irritation from contact with detergents.

Storage and maintenance

  • Store the lid on a flat surface, in a dry place and away from direct sunlight or excessive heat to prevent warping and discolouration.
  • Do not place weight on top of the stored lid to prevent warping or damage.
  • Keep screws and accessories together in a sealed bag and out of the reach of children.
  • Periodically check the tightness of the fixings, and the condition of the hinges and bumpers; adjust or replace worn parts.
  • After cleaning, rinse and dry, especially around the hinge area, to reduce corrosion and staining.

Restrictions on use

  • Do not use the lid as a seat, step or support; do not stand on it or place heavy objects on top.
  • Do not allow children to play with the lid; supervise closing to avoid pinches.
  • Do not use the lid if you notice cracks, warping or loose hinges; repair or replace before continuing to use it.
  • Do not modify the lid or its hinges (drilling, cutting, incompatible parts), as this may compromise its secure attachment.
  • Do not expose the lid to direct heat sources (radiators, high-temperature hairdryers) or prolonged intense UV light.
  • Do not use cleaning products that state they are not suitable for plastics or chrome-plated metals.
