Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Leaks or drips due to incorrect installation or deteriorated seals, with a risk of water damage and slippery surfaces.
- Detachment of the device if it is not securely fixed to the tap, potentially causing impacts or damaging the tap.
- Reduced flow rate, splashing or changes in the direction of the stream due to blockages or improper handling of the selector.
- Deterioration in water quality if the cartridge is spent, expired or after long periods without use.
- Burns if hot water passes through the filter when the model does not permit it.
- Breakage of the housing due to overpressure or water hammer when used outside the range recommended by the manufacturer.
- Contamination of the filtered water when handling the cartridge with dirty hands or placing parts on contaminated surfaces.
Safe use
- Check tap compatibility and use only the adapters and seals supplied or recommended by the manufacturer.
- Assemble the unit without forcing and tighten by hand; avoid tools that could crack the housing or damage the thread.
- Turn the water on slowly after installation and check that there are no leaks; periodically inspect connections and seals.
- Do not run hot water through the filter unless the product allows it; use bypass mode if available.
- After installing or changing the cartridge, let the water run until it runs clear to remove air and loose particles.
- If the tap has not been used, flush for a few seconds before drinking or cooking.
- Wash your hands before handling cartridges and avoid touching the filter media directly.
- Do not block the water outlet or use the device if the housing is cracked or deformed.
Storage and maintenance
- Replace the cartridge according to the manufacturer's time or capacity guidelines, or sooner if you notice reduced flow, abnormal taste or odour.
- Clean the exterior and the aerator with a soft cloth and non-abrasive products; rinse thoroughly so that no chemical residues remain.
- Regularly inspect seals and connections; replace any that show wear, stiffness or cracks.
- Protect the unit from frost, excessive heat and direct sunlight; do not expose it to impacts.
- After prolonged periods without use, perform a thorough flush and, if indicated by the manufacturer, replace the cartridge.
- Store spare cartridges sealed, in a cool, dry place; do not use expired or frozen cartridges.
Restrictions of use
- Domestic indoor use with cold mains potable water.
- Not suitable for microbiologically unsafe water or of unknown origin without appropriate prior treatment.
- Do not use outside the temperature and pressure ranges specified by the manufacturer.
- Do not modify the device or use spare parts not recommended for the model.
- Not suitable for applications requiring high-purity water (e.g., medical equipment, laboratories or certain aquariums).
- Do not allow children to install or handle the system; keep small parts and cartridges out of their reach.
- Do not use the filter if it is not firmly secured or if leaks, unusual odours or discolouration of the water persist.
