Shower Wall Outlets

Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Burns from excessively hot water or sudden temperature changes.
  • Leaks or drips due to incorrect installation or deteriorated seals, with a risk of water damage and mould.
  • Detachment of the hose or the outlet if not properly secured, causing uncontrolled sprays or knocks.
  • Slips due to splashes outside the shower area or water pooling on the floor.
  • Limescale build-up that alters the flow rate and causes irregular sprays and splashing.
  • Minor cuts or pinches when handling metal parts and tools.

Safe use

  • Turn off the water supply before installing, replacing or adjusting the shower outlet.
  • Check the compatibility of threads, seals and the hose; do not force the threading.
  • Screw on by hand and tighten only as necessary; avoid over-tightening to prevent damage to threads and seals.
  • Use seals in good condition and the sealing method specified for the product; do not install without a washer if the model requires one.
  • Turn the water on gradually after installation and check for possible drips and the temperature.
  • Direct the spray towards the inside of the shower and adjust the flow to minimise splashing.
  • Avoid pulling on the hose or using the outlet as a support point; use the holder provided for the shower handset.
  • Adjust the mixer temperature to avoid excessively hot water.

Storage and maintenance

  • If not installed, keep the product in its original packaging, in a dry place and protected from knocks.
  • Clean with a soft cloth and neutral soap; avoid scouring pads, acids, bleach and abrasive products.
  • Periodically check for play or leaks; replace worn seals and O-rings.
  • Remove limescale periodically with suitable products and rinse well afterwards.
  • Check the condition of the hose and the connection point; replace any damaged or cracked parts.
  • After building work or water shut-offs, let the water run for a few seconds to purge sediment before use.
  • Dry walls and floor after showering to reduce the risk of slips and stains.

Restrictions of use

  • Do not use the shower outlet as a handle, support or anchoring point for loads.
  • Do not modify the product or use adapters or extensions not intended for the connection.
  • Do not use the product if you detect cracks, damaged threads, corrosion or movement in the wall.
  • Do not exceed the pressure or temperature recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Keep children and people with reduced mobility or thermal sensitivity under supervision to prevent burns.
  • Avoid use with water containing sediment or sand without prior filtration, as it may damage seals and mechanisms.
