Usage Warnings
WC Support Frames and Brackets
Safety warnings and precautions
Main hazards
- Fall or detachment of the wall-hung sanitaryware due to insufficient fixings or an unsuitable substrate.
- Injuries from handling heavy frames and sharp metal edges.
- Accidental drilling into hidden pipes or cables.
- Water leaks at connections if the model incorporates water feeds or is paired with a concealed cistern.
- Damage to the finish or loss of bathroom waterproofing due to incorrect sealing or fixings.
- Trapping or pinching in adjustable mechanisms and fixings.
- Deformation or corrosion of the frame due to impacts, improper storage or exposure to corrosive damp.
Safe use
- Check the compatibility of the frame with the type of sanitaryware (e.g., WC or bidet) and with the wall/floor where it will be installed.
- Verify the load-bearing capacity of the existing structure and use fixings suitable for the substrate (e.g., concrete, masonry), following the manufacturer's instructions.
- Offer up, level and mark before drilling; use a detector to avoid hidden pipes and cables.
- Assemble without modifying the frame; tighten screws gradually without stripping threads and observe the specified torque settings where given.
- Do not hang from or use the frame as a ladder or support during the works; handle heavy parts as a two-person lift when necessary.
- Carry out pre-close tests before closing the partition or applying the finish: overall stability and watertightness of any water connections.
- Keep the access or service opening accessible; do not permanently seal it with adhesives or silicone.
- Use gloves and safety glasses and keep the work area tidy to avoid trips or loss of parts.
Storage and maintenance
- Store the frame in a dry, ventilated place, protected from impacts and splashes; avoid supporting it in a way that could deform it.
- Keep the packaging until installation and keep screws, seals and accessories in their labelled bags.
- Protect threads and metal surfaces from dust and corrosion; do not drag the frame.
- Before installation, check for deformations, cracks, rust or missing parts.
- After installation, periodically check the security of the wall-hung sanitaryware and the tightness of accessible fixings; address any creaking, play or abnormal movement.
- If there are water connections or a cistern, inspect through the access opening for any signs of moisture and the condition of seals; clean filters as directed by the manufacturer.
- Replace worn components only with the manufacturer's compatible spare parts.
Usage restrictions
- Indoor use under normal humidity conditions, unless expressly indicated by the manufacturer.
- Do not exceed the specified maximum load or hang additional items (furniture, bars, etc.) from the frame or the sanitaryware.
- Do not install on surfaces that do not allow secure anchoring or cannot support the intended load.
- Do not modify, cut or drill the frame outside the designated points; do not replace the fixings with non-equivalent items.
- Do not cover or block the adjustment and inspection points required for maintenance.
- Avoid prolonged contact with corrosive agents (acids, concentrated bleach, wet plaster).
- Keep children away during installation and prevent them from hanging from or playing on the wall-hung sanitaryware.
- If you do not have experience in plumbing and structural fixings, consider installation by qualified personnel.
