Usage Warnings
Flush Plates for Concealed Cisterns
Safety warnings and precautions
Key risks
- Finger entrapment when fitting or removing the plate and when operating internal mechanisms.
- Leaks or continuous flushing if the plate is misaligned with the actuation rods/cables.
- Damage to the finish or breakage of the trim due to impacts or overtightening during installation.
- Minor cuts from tile edges or metal parts when accessing the service opening.
- Stains, loss of gloss or cracks in the finish from the use of harsh or abrasive cleaners.
- On sensor- or battery-powered models: unintended activations and corrosion if water enters or if the batteries deteriorate.
- Risk of ingestion of small parts (screws, clips, caps) by children or pets during assembly or maintenance.
Safe use
- Check the model is compatible with your concealed cistern and follow the manufacturer's instructions.
- Shut off the cistern's water supply before adjusting actuation rods or handling internal components.
- Fit the plate without forcing it: check that the actuation rods/cables are straight and have free travel; if you feel resistance, readjust before pressing.
- Do not use tools to operate the buttons or strike them; operate with moderate pressure.
- Do not seal the plate around the perimeter with silicones or adhesives; it must be removable for maintenance.
- Keep the opening free of dust and construction debris that could hinder the buttons' return.
- Use a soft cloth and soapy water for cleaning; avoid scouring pads and products containing chlorine, ammonia, acids or solvents.
- If the model has a sensor, keep the emitter/receiver area dry and clear and do not cover it with objects or towels.
- Wear gloves when handling the edges of the service opening to prevent cuts.
Storage and maintenance
- Store the plate in its original packaging, in a dry place, protected from impacts and scratches; keep the protective film in place until the end of the installation.
- Store flat and away from heat sources and direct sunlight to prevent warping and discolouration.
- Keep screws, clips and small parts in a sealed bag, out of the reach of children.
- Periodically check that the buttons return smoothly and that there is no continuous flushing; correct the alignment if necessary.
- Replace damaged or deformed parts immediately with compatible spares from the manufacturer.
- On sensor models, replace the batteries when responsiveness decreases; do not mix new and used batteries and remove them if it will not be used for long periods.
- After building works or intensive cleaning, check that no debris remains that could interfere with the mechanism.
Usage restrictions
- Intended solely for operating the flush of compatible concealed cisterns indoors.
- Do not use the plate as a handle, support, shelf or hanger; it is not designed to bear weight.
- Avoid direct exposure to water jets or very intense vapour (e.g. from the shower).
- Do not modify, cut or drill the plate or its fixing system.
- Supervise small children during installation and discourage repeated play with the buttons.
- If you notice constant noise, water leakage or spontaneous activations, stop using it and correct the adjustment before continuing.
