Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- High-speed puck impacts to hands, eyes or face; collisions between mallets during play.
- Finger trapping in goal slots or in the puck return chute.
- Electrical hazard from a damaged lead or plug, liquid splashes, or an overheating fan/motor.
- Table tipping over or shifting if it is not level, or if someone sits on it or leans excessive weight on it.
- Tripping over the power lead or the table legs in walkways.
- Very slippery surface: risk of falling if you climb onto or rest your body on the table.
- Small parts (pucks, screws or other accessories) that may pose a hazard to young children.
- Injuries during assembly or moving due to the weight of the table or improper tool use.
Safe use
- Assemble and level according to the manufacturer's instructions; when moving it, do so with two people holding by solid points.
- Place on a firm surface and leave clear space around it to avoid collisions and pucks flying off the table.
- Keep hands and face away from the goals; retrieve the puck from the return only when it has come to a complete stop.
- Hold the mallets with the palm down and fingers inside; avoid lifting the mallet vertically or striking outside the playing surface.
- Adjust the intensity of play with children and use pucks and mallets appropriate to the table size.
- Connect to a mains socket in good condition and keep the power lead tidy and out of walkways; do not use if the lead, switch or plug are damaged.
- Keep drinks and liquids away from the table and cabling.
- Do not cover or obstruct the ventilation grilles; leave space around for air intake and exhaust.
- During prolonged sessions, take breaks to prevent motor overheating; switch off if you notice a burning smell, unusual noises or excessive vibrations.
Storage and maintenance
- Always unplug before cleaning or handling any part.
- Clean the surface with a soft cloth, dry or slightly dampened; avoid abrasive products and excessive water.
- Remove dust and lint from the air holes and the puck return with gentle vacuuming or a brush.
- Periodically check screws, legs and level; adjust if necessary to maintain stability.
- Check the condition of the sliding bases of the mallets and replace them if they are very worn to protect the surface.
- Store pucks and mallets in a container when not in use and out of reach of young children.
- Keep the table indoors in dry conditions, away from moisture and extreme temperatures; do not expose it to the elements.
- If it will not be used for a while, cover with a breathable cover and stow the lead without tension or sharp bends.
Usage restrictions
- Recommended for indoor use in dry environments; do not use outdoors in the rain, near swimming pools or in very damp areas.
- Do not stand on, sit on or place heavy objects on the surface or sides of the table.
- Do not insert hands or objects into the ventilation slots or the puck return while the unit is switched on.
- Do not modify electrical components or use adapters or accessories that are not compatible with the model.
- Play under adult supervision when children are involved and follow the age recommended by the manufacturer.
- Keep spectators and pets at a distance from the playing perimeter to avoid puck impacts.
- Do not use the product if it shows loose parts, cracks, instability or damage to the wiring until it has been inspected or replaced.
- If the product includes small parts, keep it out of reach of children under 3 years.
- Use only pucks and mallets intended for air hockey; do not use coins, balls or other objects.
