Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Tipping over when placed on uneven surfaces or due to concentrated loads on one edge.
- Finger trapping in hinges and latches of folding or extendable tables.
- Cuts or scratches from sharp edges, protruding screws or damaged tabletops.
- Breakage of the tabletop, especially on models with glass or fragile materials, due to impacts or overloading.
- Overheating of surfaces (metal, dark glass) due to sun exposure, with a risk of minor burns.
- Slips and falls due to wet or slippery surfaces around the table.
- Weather-related deterioration (rusting, swelling, discolouration) that may affect stability.
Safe use
- Assemble and adjust following the product instructions; check that all joints are secure before use.
- Place the table on a flat, stable surface; level the legs if it has levelling feet.
- Distribute the weight evenly and respect the indicated maximum load; do not stand, sit or lean heavily on the edges.
- On folding or extendable tables, keep hands away from hinges and runners; lock the mechanisms before placing any load.
- If the tabletop is glass, avoid impacts and thermal shock; use trivets for very hot items.
- Protect from strong gusts of wind; fold or shelter the table when not in use in adverse conditions.
- Leave sufficient clearance around it to avoid trips and collisions in walkways.
- Do not use the table as a counterweight for parasols nor drag it with the parasol attached.
Storage and maintenance
- Clean with a soft cloth and mild soapy water; rinse and dry to prevent stains and corrosion.
- Avoid abrasive products, solvents or high-pressure cleaners that could damage coatings and joints.
- Periodically check and retighten screws, hinges and joints; replace damaged or missing parts.
- Check the leg caps or end caps and replace them if worn to improve stability and protect the floor.
- Protect with breathable covers when not in use; avoid covers that trap moisture.
- Store under cover during seasons of rain, snow or frost; dry after rain to prevent deterioration.
- In poolside or marine environments, rinse with fresh water to reduce the effects of chlorine or salt.
- Lift to move it instead of dragging it, to avoid damaging the legs or the flooring.
Restrictions of use
- Do not use as a ladder, scaffold or workbench.
- Do not install or anchor equipment, awnings or parasols to the table; use bases and fixings specific to each accessory.
- Do not place fire pits, barbecues or other sources of direct heat on the tabletop; avoid placing very hot cookware without protection.
- Do not exceed the number of diners or the localised load the tabletop can support without deforming.
- Keep children and pets away while folding or moving the table.
- If the model is not designed to remain outdoors all year round, store it in a covered place when not in use.
- Avoid prolonged contact with corrosive or coloured substances (bleaches, oils, fertilisers) that could stain or damage the surface.
