Bottle Racks
Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Bottle rack tipping over due to uneven loading, uneven surfaces or not being secured.
- Accidental dropping of bottles due to openings incompatible with their diameter or rough handling.
- Glass breakage with a risk of cuts and damage to the floor.
- Collapse or deformation due to overloading or incorrect assembly.
- Finger trapping when assembling modules or when inserting/removing bottles in tight spaces.
- Impacts in walkways or from doors that displace or knock over bottles.
- Deterioration from moisture or corrosion that may create sharp edges or loss of stability.
- Additional risk for children: climbing the unit or accessing alcoholic beverages.
Safe use
- Assemble and level the bottle rack according to the instructions; check that all joints are secure before loading it.
- Place it on a flat surface and, if it is tall or narrow, secure it to the wall with fixings suitable for the wall type.
- Distribute the weight starting from the lower levels; place bottles fully supported and not protruding.
- Ensure that the diameter and length of the bottles are compatible with the rack's openings.
- Insert and remove one bottle at a time, holding it by the body and neck; avoid tugging several at once.
- Do not move the rack when it is loaded; partially empty it before moving it.
- Keep it away from heat sources, flames, radiators and direct sunlight; heat can deform materials and loosen joints.
- Leave clearance from doors, corridors and walkways to reduce impacts and vibrations.
- If the model is modular or stackable, ensure the modules are correctly engaged or locked before use.
Storage and maintenance
- Keep it in dry, well-ventilated indoor areas; avoid persistent humidity that encourages mould and corrosion.
- Clean with a soft cloth; wipe up any spills immediately to prevent slips and damage to the material.
- Periodically check screws, joints, welds, anchors and non-slip feet; re-tighten or replace loose or damaged parts.
- Check that there are no splinters, sharp edges or sagging shelves; do not use it if you notice instability.
- Protect the floor with caps or felt pads if the rack is floor-standing; replace worn feet or caps.
- On metal components, dry condensation to prevent rust; on wood, avoid prolonged contact with liquids.
- Keep the area clear of loose objects that could strike or push the bottles.
Usage restrictions
- Indoor use, unless the product clearly states it is suitable for outdoor use.
- Do not use as a ladder, seat or support; do not stand on it, hang from it or place body weight on it.
- Do not exceed the maximum capacity or the number of bottles specified by the manufacturer.
- Do not stack racks or modules if they are not designed for stacking.
- Do not hang on walls or ceilings that cannot support the intended load; avoid fragile or damaged surfaces.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets; consider restricting access to alcoholic beverages.
- Do not store anything other than compatible bottles, or any open or unsealed containers.
- Do not place it next to heat sources, extreme humidity or continuous vibration.
