Warnings and safety precautions
Main risks
- Tip-overs or loss of balance on sharp turns, slopes or uneven surfaces.
- Collisions with people, furniture or other obstacles.
- Fingers trapped in wheels, steering, hinges, doors or bonnets (if included).
- Falls when getting on or off the vehicle or due to lack of restraint.
- Unintended entry onto roads or into areas with traffic.
- Overheating, sparks or burns due to improper charging, damaged cables or a faulty battery in electric models.
- Small or detachable parts that may pose a choking hazard for very young children.
- Snagging of laces, scarves or hair in moving parts.
- Loss of traction and skidding on wet surfaces, or on sand or loose gravel.
Safe use
- Assemble and adjust the product following the manufacturer’s instructions before first use.
- Before each use, check: wheels and axles, steering, fastenings, bodywork and, if present, seat belt/harness or speed limiters. Do not use if there are any loose or damaged parts.
- Adjust the seat correctly and fasten the seat belt/harness if the model includes one.
- Use on flat, firm, clear surfaces. Avoid steep slopes, kerbs, stairs and areas with water.
- Outdoors or at higher speeds, a helmet and closed-toe footwear are recommended; tie back long hair and avoid garments with loose cords.
- Keep hands and feet inside the vehicle. Do not stand on the seat or perform tricks or jumps.
- Only one child per vehicle unless the model permits passengers. Do not overload with people or objects.
- Close, constant adult supervision, appropriate to the child’s age and ability.
- For electric models, start at low speed and increase gradually. Stop use if there is an unusual smell, excessive heat or irregular operation.
- Do not use at night or in low visibility. Keep a safe distance from pedestrians, pets and other moving toys.
Storage and maintenance
- Store in a dry, ventilated place, protected from rain, humidity and direct sunlight. Do not leave outdoors.
- Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly before storing. Avoid pressure washers or immersion.
- Periodically inspect screws, fastenings, wheels, steering, bodywork and, if applicable, brakes/limiters. Replace worn or damaged parts before using again.
- Keep moving areas free of sand, mud or lint that could block movement.
- For electric models: charge on a stable surface, in a ventilated area, without covering the charger or the vehicle, away from combustible materials and out of the reach of children. Use only the charger recommended by the manufacturer, do not leave prolonged charging unattended, and disconnect when charging is complete.
- Prevent water from entering the motor or battery compartment. If it becomes significantly wet, allow to dry completely before use.
- Store spare batteries out of the reach of children. Do not use damaged or leaking batteries.
Usage restrictions
- Not suitable for public roads, cycle lanes, garage ramps, stairs or lifts.
- Do not use near swimming pools, ponds or other areas with a risk of falling into water.
- Do not use in rain or snow or on very wet, icy or loose gravel surfaces.
- Do not modify the product or remove limiters or guards. Do not fit accessories not specified by the manufacturer.
- Do not tow, push at high speed, or allow the vehicle to pull objects or other people.
- Do not exceed the age, height or weight recommended by the manufacturer. Do not use if the child cannot firmly reach the controls, pedals or footrests.
- Do not carry bulky loads that obstruct visibility or destabilise the vehicle.
- If the model has remote control, it must be operated by a single adult in a clear area free from interference.
