Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Overheating, smoke or fire due to short circuits, impacts, punctures or improper charging.
  • Burns from high temperatures during charging or intensive use.
  • Leakage of irritating liquid if the battery pack is damaged or deformed.
  • Damage to the tool or charger due to incompatibility or a poor connection.
  • Injury or property damage if the battery detaches from the tool during operation.
  • Failures due to exposure to moisture, conductive dust or extreme temperatures.

Safe use

  • Check compatibility with your tool model and with a charger suitable for that battery type.
  • Inspect before each use: casing and terminals in good condition, with no cracks, swelling, rust, unusual odours or traces of liquid. If you notice any issues, do not use it.
  • Insert and remove the battery following the equipment instructions; ensure it is securely locked in place before starting work.
  • Prevent the terminals from touching metal objects. Do not carry the battery loose alongside keys, screws or metal parts.
  • Charge on a stable, non-flammable surface in a well-ventilated place. Do not cover it or leave it charging unattended for extended periods.
  • Use only a charger appropriate for the battery; do not force adaptors or connections.
  • Allow the battery to cool after demanding use before recharging. Stop charging if it overheats, emits a strong odour or makes unusual noises.
  • Keep the battery dry. If it gets wet, let it dry completely at room temperature before attempting to charge or use it.
  • For transport, protect the terminals with caps or tape and place it in a hard case or a compartment separate from metal objects.

Storage and maintenance

  • Store the battery in a dry, cool, ventilated place, away from heat sources, flames and direct sunlight.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures and sudden changes. Do not leave it in vehicles exposed to the sun or severe cold.
  • If you are not going to use it for a while, store it at a mid-level charge and check the level periodically; perform a maintenance charge if necessary.
  • Keep the contacts clean and dry with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • If you notice swelling, a strong odour, unusual heating or leakage, place the battery on a non-combustible surface, ventilate the area and do not use it.
  • Take spent or damaged batteries to collection and recycling points; do not throw them in the rubbish or incinerate them.

Usage restrictions

  • Keep out of reach of children and pets; charge and use it in supervised areas.
  • Do not open, pierce, crush, bend, modify or attempt to repair the battery.
  • Do not use with incompatible, damaged or modified tools, chargers or adaptors.
  • Do not use near combustible materials or in environments with flammable dust or vapours.
  • Do not immerse or expose to heavy rain or water jets.
  • Do not use the battery if it has suffered a heavy impact or a fall, even if it appears undamaged.
  • Do not cover the battery during charging or use; allow proper heat dissipation.
  • Do not transport in pockets or bags alongside metal objects without first protecting the terminals.
