Main risks
- Falls or trips when stepping on or off, or from losing balance while the belt is moving.
- Fingers, laces, clothing or hair getting caught in the belt or rollers.
- Friction burns from contacting the moving belt after a fall.
- Overexertion, dehydration, dizziness, or cardiovascular discomfort due to improper training.
- Impact or being pulled backwards if there is no clear space behind the equipment.
- Electrical hazard from damaged cables, unsuitable sockets, or liquid spills on the console.
- Hazard to children and pets from accidental activation or approaching during use.
- Vibrations and noise that may cause discomfort during prolonged use.
Safe use
- Read the manufacturer’s instructions before first use and familiarise yourself with the stop button and the safety key/clip.
- Wear closed, laced sports shoes, close-fitting clothing, and tie back your hair; remove jewellery or loose accessories.
- Place the treadmill on a stable surface and leave a clear area, especially behind the equipment.
- Step on and off only with the belt stopped; start at a low speed and increase gradually. Use the handrails to steady yourself at the start.
- Keep your eyes forward and avoid distractions; do not use your mobile phone or read while the belt is moving.
- Stay hydrated and stop if you notice pain, dizziness, tingling, unusual shortness of breath, or an irregular heartbeat or palpitations.
- Keep your hands dry and liquids away from the console and the power cable.
- Plug the equipment into a suitable, undamaged socket and avoid extension leads or overloaded multi-socket adaptors.
Storage and maintenance
- Position the treadmill in a dry, ventilated place, away from damp and heat sources. Do not use it outdoors.
- Always unplug before cleaning or making adjustments. Remove and store the safety key after use.
- Regularly clean the belt and surfaces to remove dust, sweat, and debris that could cause slippage or obstructions.
- Periodically check the screws and bolts, handrails, power cable, and condition of the belt; stop use if you notice unusual noises, vibrations, or damage.
- Lubricate and centre the belt following the manufacturer’s instructions; avoid improvised adjustments.
- Do not cover grilles or ventilation areas and leave space for airflow.
- If it is foldable, engage the locking system when lowering or raising it and keep your hands away from hinges. Use the wheels to move it carefully.
Usage restrictions
- Not suitable for children; teenagers only with direct supervision. Keep children and pets away while it is operating.
- Do not use the treadmill if you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that causes drowsiness or impairs your reflexes.
- Avoid using it barefoot, in socks, or with sandals; always wear appropriate sports footwear.
- Do not use it if it shows visible damage, a burning smell, sparks, or irregular operation.
- Do not cover the machine or place objects on the belt or frame during use.
- Follow the manufacturer’s limitations and recommendations (maximum weight, speed, continuous use).
- Pregnant people, those with recent injuries, or individuals with cardiovascular conditions should consult a healthcare professional before using it or increasing the intensity.
