Warnings and safety precautions

Main risks

  • Electric shock due to the appliance coming into contact with water, unsuitable sockets or damaged cables.
  • Overheating of the motor or compressor due to continuous use without breaks or by blocking the ventilation grilles.
  • Entrapment or minor cuts when inserting hands or utensils into the bowl while the paddle is turning.
  • Cold burns or skin adhesion when handling very cold bowls taken from the freezer.
  • Spills of mixture that may create slippery surfaces and damage the appliance if they enter the base.
  • Food safety risks due to insufficient cleaning, mixture at an inappropriate temperature or improper storage of the ice cream.

Safe use

  • Place the machine on a stable, dry, level surface, leaving space around it for ventilation.
  • Keep the motorised base away from water; do not immerse it or expose it to splashes. Use the appliance with dry hands.
  • Connect to a suitable mains socket in good condition. Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is damaged. Unplug before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
  • Correctly fit the bowl, lid and paddle before switching on. Do not exceed the stated capacity and do not insert utensils through the openings during operation.
  • Keep fingers, hair, clothing and utensils away from moving parts. Stop the appliance before scraping or serving.
  • If using freezer bowls, handle them with a dry cloth or gloves and avoid prolonged direct contact with the skin.
  • On compressor models, do not cover or block the grilles. After transport, keep the unit upright and allow it to stand for a suitable period before use.
  • Observe the operating times and allow the appliance to rest between batches. Stop immediately if you notice burning smells, unusual noises or excessive vibration.
  • Pour in chilled mixtures. Avoid very hot liquids or those with a high alcohol content that may impede freezing or damage the equipment.
  • Add solid ingredients in small pieces and at the appropriate time to avoid blockages.
  • Hygiene: use fresh ingredients and clean utensils, keep the mixture refrigerated, and consume or freeze the ice cream immediately. Do not refreeze melted ice cream.

Storage and maintenance

  • Unplug and allow to cool before cleaning. Wash removable parts in warm water with mild detergent. Dry thoroughly before storing.
  • Avoid abrasive scourers or harsh products that could scratch or leave residues on food-contact surfaces.
  • Wipe the base with a slightly damp cloth, avoiding air inlets and electrical areas. Wipe up spills immediately.
  • Periodically check the cable and plug. If you notice damage, stop using the appliance. Do not attempt internal repairs.
  • Store in a dry, ventilated place. Coil the cable without stretching or pinching it.
  • If storing the bowl in the freezer, keep it upright and protected from odours and contamination. Ensure it is dry before freezing.
  • Keep the grilles and ventilation areas free of dust. Do not cover the base when storing.

Restrictions of use

  • Indoor domestic use. Not suitable for continuous professional use or for outdoor areas exposed to moisture.
  • Not a toy: keep out of reach of children and pets during operation. Children should only use it under adult supervision.
  • Do not use the appliance if it is wet, has been dropped, or shows cracks, loose parts or instability.
  • Do not open the casing or pierce the bowl or components. The unit may be damaged.
  • Avoid low-quality multi-plug adapters or extension leads. If using an extension lead, ensure it is rated for the power and fully unwind it.
  • Do not place the machine on hobs, near heat sources or in direct sunlight. Do not cover the appliance while in operation.
  • Do not add ice, extremely hard ingredients or pressurised carbonated ingredients that could damage the paddle or motor.
