Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Appliance tipping over if the base is not firmly positioned or if the cable is pulled.
  • Fingers, hair or clothing getting trapped in the grille, especially if handled while in operation or if the protective grille is damaged.
  • Bumps or cuts from contact with the moving blades during cleaning or when moving it.
  • Risk of electric shock from pinched cables, loose plugs or use in damp environments.
  • Overheating if the grille is covered or the air inlets are obstructed.
  • Trip hazards from the cable in walkways.
  • Dust being blown and possible discomfort from prolonged direct draughts.

Safe use

  • Assemble and adjust height and tilt according to the product instructions; check that the base is level and stable.
  • Place the fan on the floor, away from edges, curtains, loose textiles and sources of heat; leave clear space around it for oscillation.
  • Keep hands, hair and objects away from the grille; do not insert tools to clean while the appliance is plugged in.
  • Unplug before moving it, cleaning it or handling the grille or the blades.
  • Keep the cable fully extended and free from strain; avoid routing it across areas of foot traffic and do not run it under rugs or doors.
  • Plug into a socket in good condition and avoid overloading extension leads; if you notice a burning smell, abnormal vibrations or unusual noises, switch off and inspect.
  • Use oscillation only where there is sufficient space and direct the airflow without aiming it at the face at very close range.

Storage and maintenance

  • Switch off and unplug. Allow the blades to come to a complete stop before handling.
  • Clean the grille and blades periodically with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth; do not wet the motor or use abrasive products.
  • Ensure the protective grille is securely fastened and not deformed; tighten fixings if the design allows.
  • Regularly check the condition of the cable and the plug; if they show damage, stop using the appliance.
  • Store in a dry place, away from moisture and heat; cover it to prevent dust build-up during long periods without use.
  • Coil the cable without tension or tight bends and avoid placing weight on the appliance or the cable.

Usage restrictions

  • For indoor use in dry environments; do not use outdoors, in bathrooms or other areas with splashes or condensation unless expressly stated by the product.
  • Not a toy: keep out of reach of young children and pets; adult supervision is required when they are nearby.
  • Do not cover or dry clothes on the fan, or block the grille with objects.
  • Do not place on unstable tables, stools, sofas or soft surfaces; always use it with the base resting on the floor.
  • Do not use if the grille, blades, base or cable are damaged, loose or have loose parts.
  • Do not insert objects through the grille or use near flammable aerosols, candles or combustible materials.
