Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Pinch or crush injuries at adjustment points, rails, jaws or locking levers.
  • Toppling of the stand or slippage of the guide due to an unstable surface or inadequate clamping.
  • Ejection of parts or tool kickback due to misalignment or poor securing.
  • Cuts and knocks when handling edges, stops or components near cutting areas.
  • Loss of control due to vibration, dust or debris on sliding surfaces.
  • Damage from exceeding load capacity or using incompatible tools.
  • Loosening of screws or locks during operation, with a risk of unexpected movement.
  • Exposure to dust and noise arising from operation of the associated tool.

Safe use

  • Check the compatibility of the stand or guide with your tool and material before starting.
  • Place the equipment on a firm, level and clean surface; secure it with clamps or anchors where appropriate.
  • Inspect for cracks, deformation or loose parts; tighten fasteners, stops and locking levers.
  • Make all adjustments with the tool unplugged and all moving parts fully stopped.
  • Secure the workpiece with appropriate clamping systems; do not hold it with your hand alone.
  • Keep hands out of the cutting path and use push sticks or auxiliary stops when appropriate.
  • Clear chips and dust from rails and pads; avoid lubricants on anti-slip areas that could reduce grip.
  • Perform a test run without load to verify travel, parallelism and absence of interference.
  • Wear safety glasses; add hearing and respiratory protection according to the material. Wear close-fitting clothing and tie back hair; do not wear loose gloves near rotating parts.
  • Work with controlled feed, without forcing; keep the area clear and cables out of the path.

Storage and maintenance

  • Clean after each use to remove dust, chips and resins.
  • Dry and protect metal surfaces from moisture; apply light lubrication only to sliding areas when advisable.
  • Periodically check the alignment and condition of stops, pads and anti-slip strips; replace worn elements with suitable spares.
  • Check and re-tighten screws, hinges and locks that may loosen due to vibration.
  • Store rails and guides hung or flat and well supported to prevent distortion.
  • Protect edges and reference surfaces to maintain accuracy.
  • Store in a dry place, with nothing on top, and out of the reach of children.

Restrictions on use

  • Do not use as a platform, step, lifting aid or as a support for people.
  • Do not exceed the load capacity or workpiece size recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Do not use with tools or accessories for which it is not designed, nor with improvised adapters.
  • Do not use if it shows cracks, deformation, looseness in locks or missing parts.
  • Do not modify by drilling, cutting or removing safety or anti-slip components.
  • Do not use on unstable or wet surfaces, or on ladders.
  • Do not operate when fatigued, or under the influence of alcohol or substances that reduce attention.
  • Not a toy: keep out of reach of children; inexperienced users must receive appropriate training and/or supervision.
  • Avoid atmospheres with combustible dust or flammable materials when operation of the tool may generate sparks.
