Warnings and safety precautions
Key risks
- Slips and falls due to water, soap or limescale build-up on the surface.
- Falls when entering or exiting the shower, especially where there are level changes or wet edges.
- Handling and installation injuries: the tray's weight and possible sharp edges may cause impact injuries or cuts.
- Damage from impacts or dropped objects that can cause cracks and sharp edges.
- Leaks due to defective seals or drain, with a risk of damp and wet floors around the area.
- Pooling due to a blocked drain, with a risk of overflow and mould growth.
- Skin or respiratory irritation from using harsh cleaners in poorly ventilated spaces.
Safe use
- Enter and exit with care, using supports. If the surface feels slippery, use a compatible non-slip mat or treatment.
- Keep the surface free of soap, oils and limescale residues; rinse after each use where possible.
- Ensure the drain cover or grate is correctly positioned and water flows freely.
- Do not jump or run inside the tray, and avoid placing heavy point loads.
- Avoid impacts from hand showers, bottles or other hard objects that may damage the surface.
- Do not use the tray until it is securely installed and sealed; observe the manufacturer's specified curing times.
- If you detect cracks, movement of the tray or leaks, stop using it and request inspection by a qualified installer.
Storage and maintenance
- Before installation, store the tray on a flat, dry surface, protected from impacts and dust. Avoid resting it on its edges and do not place weight on top.
- Protect the product from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures during storage.
- Clean regularly with warm water and a neutral detergent; rinse and dry. Ventilate the bathroom to reduce humidity and mould.
- Avoid abrasive scourers, blades and harsh products (strong acids, solvents or highly concentrated bleach). Do not mix cleaners.
- Periodically check seals and joints; re-seal if you observe cracks or lifting.
- Keep the drain free of hair and debris to prevent blockages and bad odours.
- Check that the non-slip surface, if present, is not worn; replace or repair when necessary.
Usage restrictions
- For use exclusively as a shower base. Do not use as a step, makeshift seat, work platform or storage area.
- Do not pierce, drill or cut the tray or the drainage system.
- Do not rest sharp objects on it or wear footwear with high heels or sharp edges that could scratch or crack it.
- Do not apply direct heat or pour very hot liquids abruptly onto the surface.
- Do not use the tray if it is loose, shows visible cracks or wobbles, until repaired.
- Supervise children, older adults or people with reduced mobility, and use appropriate aids (grab rails or compatible non-slip surfaces).
- Avoid products that leave the surface oily or very soapy; if used, rinse immediately.
