Usage Warnings

Bath Screens

Warnings and safety precautions

Main risks

  • Cuts or injuries due to glass breakage or sharp, chipped edges.
  • Finger pinches and entrapment in hinges, profiles and tracks.
  • Impacts or panel falling if fixings are loose or incorrectly installed.
  • Slips due to leaks and puddles on the bathroom floor.
  • Damage from impacts by hard objects or knocks against the taps and fittings.
  • Possible glass breakage due to sudden temperature changes applied directly to its surface.
  • Injury from using the bath screen as a support, handrail or to hang items.
  • Risks when handling the product due to its weight and bulk.

Safe use

  • Install and adjust the bath screen following the manufacturer's instructions; before first use, check that the assembly is secure and aligned.
  • Open and close slowly; keep fingers away from hinges, profiles and tracks.
  • Do not force movement if it jams; clean the tracks or check the alignment before continuing use.
  • Avoid striking edges and corners; do not rest the shower head or the taps against the glass.
  • Avoid pouring very hot water onto cold glass (and vice versa) to reduce the risk of breakage.
  • Do not lean on the bath screen or hang towels or other items from it.
  • Check watertightness: fit the bottom seal correctly and close fully before showering.
  • Keep the floor outside the bath dry and clear; use a non-slip mat outside the bath.
  • If sealant or silicone has been applied, allow the stated curing time before wetting the area.
  • To move or reposition the panel, do so with two people and hold it by the edges.

Storage and maintenance

  • Before installation, store the panels vertically, in their packaging, on a stable surface and protected from impacts.
  • Avoid areas with constant humidity and no ventilation, frost, or direct, intense heat.
  • Clean with warm water and neutral pH soap; rinse and dry with a soft cloth to minimise limescale.
  • Do not use scouring pads, blades or abrasive products, solvents or concentrated bleach.
  • Keep tracks and profiles free of dirt and soap residue to ensure smooth operation.
  • Periodically check fixings, seals and sealant; replace worn or cracked parts.
  • Tighten loose fixings without overtightening; if specified by the manufacturer, lightly lubricate rollers or tracks with the recommended product.
  • Renew the silicone sealant when it shows cracks, persistent mould or detachment.

Restrictions of use

  • It is not a support element: do not stand, sit, push against it or use it as a handrail to get in or out of the bath.
  • Do not hang towels, baskets or heavy objects unless the product is expressly designed for it.
  • Do not allow use by young children without supervision; keep children away while opening or closing.
  • People with reduced mobility should use specific aids; do not use the bath screen as a support.
  • Do not modify, drill or remove stops, latches or safety components of the system.
  • Do not use pressurised steam cleaners on the glass, seals or profiles unless expressly indicated by the manufacturer.
