Usage Warnings

Kitchen Cabinet Profiles Kits

Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Cuts from sharp edges or burrs when handling and cutting metal or plastic profiles.
  • Finger trapping or pinching when fitting profiles, runners or handles.
  • Flying chips and dust when cutting or drilling, with possible eye or respiratory irritation.
  • Fall or detachment of poorly secured parts, with a risk of injury or damage to the unit.
  • Skin or eye irritation from contact with adhesives, silicones or primers included in some kits.
  • Deterioration due to excessive heat or humidity near hobs, an oven or a sink, which may cause warping or delamination.
  • Electrical risk if the kit includes lighting channels or accessories: potential contact with wiring.
  • Accidental drilling into cables or pipes housed inside the units when screwing.
  • Small parts (screws, caps, connectors) pose a choking hazard to children and pets.

Safe use

  • Check the kit contents and confirm dimensions and compatibility with the unit before starting.
  • Plan the installation: measure and mark accurately; do a dry fit before final assembly.
  • Wear cut-resistant gloves and safety goggles; if using power tools, ensure a stable surface and secure the profile firmly.
  • Cut with the tool specified by the manufacturer and remove burrs before assembly to avoid sharp edges.
  • Fix with screws or anchors suitable for the unit material (chipboard, MDF, solid wood) without over-tightening to avoid damage.
  • If using adhesives or sealants, work in a well-ventilated area, respect curing times and remove excess before it hardens.
  • Maintain clearances for door and drawer opening; do not force joints or bend profiles beyond the recommended limit.
  • Avoid placing profiles very close to heat sources or wet areas without appropriate protection or sealing.
  • If there are electrical components, switch off the power before handling, do not trap cables with the profiles and follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Storage and maintenance

  • Store the profiles in their packaging, upright and in a dry, ventilated place, protected from impacts.
  • Do not stack weight on top that could bend or dent the parts; handle long profiles with two people when necessary.
  • Protect from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent discolouration or deformation.
  • Keep screws, caps and small accessories in sealed bags, out of reach of children and pets.
  • Clean with a soft cloth and neutral detergent; avoid abrasive pads and solvents that could damage the finish or adhesives.
  • Dry thoroughly after cleaning or splashes to prevent corrosion and loss of adhesion at sealed joints.
  • Periodically check the tightness of fixings and the condition of seals; re-tighten or replace damaged or loose parts.
  • If edges are damaged or chipped, replace the affected piece to avoid cuts and poor fit.

Restrictions of use

  • Do not use the profiles as structural elements, grab handles or for load-bearing; do not hang from or sit on them.
  • Do not install outdoors or in areas with continuous exposure to water or steam unless the product expressly states otherwise.
  • Do not modify the profiles with cuts, drilling or bending beyond the manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Do not cover appliance ventilation slots with profiles or trims.
  • Do not mix incompatible screws, adhesives or accessories; use only those specified for the kit.
  • Keep children and pets away from the work area during installation and promptly remove offcuts, burrs and protective films.
  • Do not install near open flames or in direct contact with high-temperature surfaces.
