Main risks
- Shelf falling or hanging rack coming loose due to incorrect installation or an unsuitable wall.
- Utensils falling due to overloading, poor weight distribution or bent hooks.
- Bumps, cuts or punctures when reaching for items, especially sharp or pointed pieces.
- Burns or product deterioration if placed too close to heat sources, vapour or flames.
- Accidental damage to electrical cables or pipes when drilling.
- Minor finger trapping when handling fold-down or adjustable mechanisms.
- Damage to tiles or the wall due to inadequate fixings or excessive stresses.
- Loss of adhesion of tapes or suction cups due to grease, moisture or dirt on the surface.
Safe use
- Check the product’s load capacity and choose fixings suitable for the wall type; do not reuse damaged wall plugs.
- Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and ensure it is level before final tightening.
- Before drilling, check there are no hidden cables or pipes in the area.
- Maintain a safe distance from hobs, ovens, extractor hoods and other sources of heat or vapour.
- If mounting with adhesive, clean and degrease thoroughly, respect the curing time and load progressively.
- Distribute the weight and place heavier items on lower levels and close to the fixing points.
- Secure knives or sharp objects only on holders designed for them and keep them out of reach of children.
- Do not hang hot or damp utensils that may drip onto slippery or electrical surfaces.
- Wear eye protection and gloves during installation and when cleaning edges or burrs.
- Check screws, hooks and joints regularly; tighten or replace any loose or damaged parts.
Storage and maintenance
- Keep surfaces dry; wipe away splashes of water, grease or vapour to prevent corrosion and loss of grip.
- Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent; avoid scouring pads or abrasive chemicals that could damage finishes and fixings.
- Regularly inspect the wall fixing and the condition of the hooks; replace deformed components.
- Replace adhesives, suction cups or mounting strips when they show wear or after previous removals.
- Avoid continuous maximum loads; stay below the stated capacity, especially on plasterboard walls.
- Keep the walkway clear to avoid accidental snagging with clothing or handles.
Restrictions of use
- Do not use as a step, climbing aid or body grab bar.
- Do not install directly above hobs, grills, ovens or where it will receive direct heat.
- Do not hang electrical appliances or containers with liquids if there are sockets or cables below.
- Do not install on loose surfaces, flaking paint, weak plaster or cracked tiles.
- Do not modify the product or its fixings, or replace them with non-equivalent parts.
- Do not exceed the stated load or hang very bulky items if the model does not permit it.
- Do not use outdoors unless the product expressly states that it is suitable.
- Keep these products and any hanging utensils out of the reach of young children; supervise their use.
