Main risks
- Finger entrapment in the sliding runners and hinge points when pulling out or pushing back in.
- Detachment or deformation due to overloading or insufficient fixing to the cabinet.
- Possible tipping of the wardrobe if it is unstable and the trouser rack is extended when heavily loaded (especially in tall units not anchored).
- Impacts and damage from hitting doors, shelves or nearby objects when pulling it out.
- Deterioration of the mechanism due to moisture, dust or lack of cleaning, leading to jamming or jerky movement.
- Damage to garments from snagging on edges, screws or loose parts.
Safe use
- Follow the instructions for the purchased model and use suitable fixings for the type of cabinet.
- Observe the stated maximum load and distribute the weight evenly; avoid concentrating multiple garments at a single point.
- Extend and slide the trouser rack with slow, controlled movements; keep fingers away from the runners and pinch points.
- Ensure it is fully retracted before closing the wardrobe doors.
- Keep the front area clear to prevent impacts and check it does not catch on shelves or hinges.
- If you notice rubbing, looseness or unusual noises, stop using it until you have checked the fixings and the condition of the parts.
Storage and maintenance
- For use in dry indoor environments; avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or condensation.
- Regularly remove dust and lint from the bars and runners with a soft cloth; wipe away any moisture immediately.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, to avoid damaging finishes or promoting corrosion.
- Regularly check screws and anchors; tighten or replace any that are loose, rusty or damaged.
- If necessary, apply a lubricant suitable for furniture fittings in small amounts and only where appropriate, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Replace worn or deformed parts with compatible spares; do not continue using it with damaged components.
Restrictions of use
- Do not use as a step, seat, exercise bar or support.
- Do not hang very heavy objects, loaded bags, liquids or sharp objects.
- Avoid hanging very wet garments; excess weight and moisture may damage the mechanism and the furniture.
- Do not allow children to play with the pull-out system; supervision is required to prevent entrapment.
- Do not modify, drill or cut the trouser rack, nor combine it with fittings not intended for its model.
- In tall or unstable wardrobes, avoid maximum loads if the unit is not anchored; stabilise the wardrobe according to the furniture manufacturer’s instructions.
