Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Glass breakage with possible cuts when handling or cleaning.
- Falls due to suction cups, adhesives or loose fixings, which may strike the person or damage surfaces.
- Intense reflections and concentration of sunlight in magnifying mirrors, with a risk of glare and possible ignition of nearby materials.
- Pinched fingers when folding or extending articulated arms.
- If the model includes lighting, batteries or a cable: risk from splashes, short circuits, overheating or battery leakage.
- Eye strain or dizziness from prolonged use at close range or very bright light.
- Corrosion from moisture that can weaken screws and brackets.
Safe use
- Secure the mirror using the intended mounting system and check the attachment before each use, especially with suction cups or adhesives.
- Avoid placing it where it receives direct sunlight or near heat sources.
- Keep the mirror away from splash zones; dry your hands before operating switches or battery compartments.
- Do not look directly at the integrated light; if it is dimmable, start at the lowest setting.
- Fold and stow the arm when not in use to reduce accidental knocks.
- Do not hang towels or other objects from the mirror or its arm.
- Bring your face closer slowly to avoid bumping into the glass.
Storage and maintenance
- Place the mirror in well-ventilated areas and avoid continuous exposure to steam. If it is portable, store it protected to prevent scratches and knocks.
- Clean with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner; avoid scouring pads and harsh chemicals that could damage the mirror coating.
- Wipe away water and condensation after showering to minimise corrosion.
- Periodically check suction cups, adhesives, screws and arms; retighten or replace worn parts. If the glass is chipped or cracked, stop using it and replace it.
- For battery models: do not mix types or new with used ones, and remove them if it will not be used for an extended period.
- If it is rechargeable or has a cable, charge or connect it in a dry place and keep the cable away from water and from being pulled.
Restrictions on use
- This is not a toy: keep out of reach of young children and use under supervision if they might pull on the mirror.
- Indoor use. Do not use outdoors or in areas with wind or vibrations.
- Do not use it in the shower or immerse it in water.
- Do not modify the fixing system or use adhesives or screws unsuitable for the surface.
- Stop using if you experience eye strain, glare or dizziness.
- Do not use the product if it shows excessive looseness, visible corrosion, damaged cables or broken glass.
- Do not point the mirror towards windows with direct sun or towards flames or flammable materials.
