Key risks

Safe use
- Read and follow the instructions for the sprayer and the product you intend to apply.
- Use appropriate protection: chemical-resistant gloves, goggles, respiratory protection where applicable, long-sleeved clothing and non-slip footwear.
- Prepare the tank mix in a ventilated, stable area; avoid spills and do not mix different products.
- Check the condition of seals, hoses, nozzles and closures before starting; test with water to check for leaks and confirm the spray pattern.
- Pressurise only to the recommended level. Release pressure before opening the tank and keep the nozzle pointed away from your body.
- Apply in light wind, at low height and onto the target; avoid drains, wells, ponds and paths and walkways.
- Do not eat, drink or smoke during use. Wash your hands and change clothes after application.
- Cordon off or signpost the treated area and observe the re-entry periods indicated on the product label.
- For electric or battery-powered equipment, use the specified charger, avoid rain and do not operate the equipment if it is wet.
Storage and maintenance
- Depressurise, empty and rinse the tank and lines after each use according to the manufacturer’s instructions; spray clean water to flush the nozzle.
- Dispose of residues and rinsings in line with the product’s instructions.
- Dry the equipment and store in a cool, dry, ventilated place, protected from sunlight and sources of heat, with the trigger locked.
- Keep the sprayer out of the reach of children and pets and separate from food and animal feed.
- Periodically check nozzles, filters, seals and hoses; replace parts that are worn, cracked or deformed.
- Do not leave liquids in the tank during storage to prevent crystallisation or damage.
- For prolonged storage of battery models, remove the battery and follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for charging and storage.
Restrictions on use
- Do not aim or spray towards people, animals, non-target plants or hives. Keep your distance from ponds, aquariums and other water sources.
- Do not use the equipment indoors without ventilation or with products not suitable for indoor use.
- Do not use flammable, corrosive substances or solvents that are not compatible with the sprayer.
- Do not use the equipment for drinking water, beverages or food-related uses. If it has been used with chemicals, do not use it for other purposes.
- Do not use the sprayer if it shows cracks, leaks, loose connectors or defective closures.
- Do not permit minors to operate it; inexperienced persons must receive instructions and be supervised.
- Do not spray in strong wind, rain or in full sun when evaporation can increase drift.
- Do not spray onto sockets, live electrical equipment or near flames or sources of ignition.
