Main risks

• Splashes of dirty water or drain residues that can cause irritation or contamination.
• Chemical splash if chemical drain cleaners were previously poured into the pipe.
• Damage to seals, traps, enamelled surfaces or pipes from applying excessive pressure or force.
• Kickback from the plunger or manual pumps, and pinches to hands or fingers.
• Cuts or snagging from coils/cables on snake models or from drain edges.
• Slips and falls due to water spilled on the floor.
• Muscle strains from awkward postures or sudden exertion.

Safe use

• Wear waterproof gloves and safety goggles; tie back hair and avoid loose sleeves or accessories.
• Remove objects from the area, ventilate the space and shut off the water supply if there is a risk of overflow.
• Do not use the drain unblocker if you suspect the presence of chemicals in the drain; avoid combining them and wait until any residue has been completely removed and rinsed away.
• Position the suction cup centred and seal the opening; use firm, controlled movements without jerking.
• For pump models, apply pressure progressively and hold the tool securely, keeping your face away from the discharge point.
• For cable/snake models, advance slowly with gentle rotations; do not force bends and keep hands away from the moving coil.
• Cover the drain opening with a cloth while operating to contain possible splashes.
• Stop if you notice creaking, deformation or abnormal resistance; forcing it may cause damage.
• Wash your hands thoroughly and disinfect the work area afterwards.

Storage and maintenance

• Rinse and clean the drain unblocker after each use with water and a mild disinfectant; dry completely before storing.
• Periodically check rubber components, suction cups and seals; replace if they show cracks, deformation or wear.
• For cable models, rinse and dry the coil; store it wound without tension and, if applicable, lightly lubricate to prevent corrosion.
• Store the tool in a position that does not deform the suction cup, away from direct heat or strong sunlight.
• Keep the drain unblocker in a bucket or cover to prevent drips, and separate from food, textiles and personal hygiene items.

Restrictions on use

• Intended for compatible domestic drains; do not use on fragile, very old or visibly damaged systems.
• Do not use simultaneously with chemical drain cleaners or with boiling water that may deform the rubber components.
• Do not insert into electrical appliances, running pumps or conduits for fuels or other non-sanitary fluids.
• Do not use if the tool is damaged, with a cracked suction cup or deformed cable; do not modify its components.
• Keep out of reach of children; for adult use only and with appropriate supervision in shared environments.
