Warnings and safety precautions

Main risks

  • Risk of electric shock when handling frames near mechanisms and wiring if the power is not switched off.
  • Damage to wiring or the mechanism from pinching conductors, screwing in unsuitable points or forcing the fit.
  • Possible overheating due to incorrect installation that compresses cables or prevents the mechanism from seating properly.
  • Cuts from sharp edges or fractured parts if the frame cracks or breaks.
  • The frame coming loose or gaps that expose internal parts if it is not properly secured.
  • Ingestion or choking on screws, clips or other small parts by children or pets.
  • Deterioration due to humidity or splashes in unsuitable areas, with a risk of corrosion or failure of the assembly.

Safe use

  • Switch off power at the consumer unit and verify absence of voltage before installing, replacing or adjusting the frame.
  • Check compatibility between frame, mechanism and back box (dimensions, number of modules and fixing method) following the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Use insulated tools in good condition; avoid working with wet hands or on damp surfaces.
  • Position the frame without forcing it; securely fix the mechanism to the back box before fitting the frame.
  • Do not pinch or press cables against the frame edges; leave reasonable slack and avoid crushing conductors with screws.
  • Tighten screws and clips to achieve a firm hold, without overtightening to avoid cracking or deforming the material.
  • On completion, check that the frame is aligned, with no gaps or looseness, and that no metal parts are accessible.
  • In damp or splash-prone areas, use models specifically rated for that environment.
  • If you do not have electrical knowledge, have the installation carried out by a qualified professional.

Storage and maintenance

  • Store the frames in a dry, clean and ventilated place, away from heat sources and direct sunlight to prevent warping or discolouration.
  • Keep the parts in their packaging until installation to protect clips and surfaces.
  • Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth; avoid abrasives, solvents and water jets.
  • Periodically check that the frame is secure, with no cracks or deformations; replace any part that is damaged or has broken clips.
  • After renovations, furniture moves or accidental impacts, check that no looseness or gaps have appeared.

Usage restrictions

  • Do not use frames outdoors, in damp or splash-prone areas unless the model states it is suitable for that use.
  • Do not use the frame as a support to hang objects or to route external cables.
  • Do not sand, cut, drill or paint in a way that alters the fit; do not apply adhesives that could affect the clips or the material.
  • Do not install on unstable, damp or crumbling surfaces.
  • Do not mix frames and mechanisms from incompatible ranges or brands.
  • Do not allow children to handle frames or loose parts; keep screws and accessories out of their reach.
  • Do not reuse frames that are cracked, deformed or do not fit securely; replace them with units in good condition.
  • Do not install near sources of extreme heat that could deform the material.
