Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Ingestion of button cell batteries or small parts by children or pets.
- Battery overheating, leakage or fire due to incorrect installation, short circuits or exposure to heat.
- Unintentional activation of connected equipment (heaters, blinds, doors, motors) with possible entrapment, impacts or burns.
- Loss of control due to interference, obstacles, moisture, low battery, or use beyond range.
- Damage from the ingress of liquids or dust that may cause malfunctions or unexpected activations.
- Skin or eye irritation from contact with electrolyte from damaged or leaking batteries.
Safe use
- Before use, clearly identify which device each button controls and test operation under safe conditions.
- Ensure the area around the device to be operated is clear of people, pets and objects before pressing.
- Use only the specified battery type and size; observe the correct polarity and do not mix new and used batteries or different brands or chemistries.
- Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Replace all batteries at the same time when range or responsiveness decreases.
- Close the battery compartment securely; if it has a screw or safety catch, secure it after each change.
- Avoid impacts, drops, and exposure to water, high humidity or extreme temperatures. Do not use the remote control with wet hands.
- Store the remote control so that buttons are not pressed accidentally (bags, pockets or surfaces where it could be held down).
- If you suspect a battery has been swallowed, seek immediate medical attention. In case of leakage, avoid contact and clean following the battery manufacturer's instructions.
Storage and maintenance
- Store the remote control in a dry, ventilated place, away from heat sources, direct sunlight and moisture.
- Do not leave it inside vehicles exposed to the sun or near radiators or flames.
- Remove the batteries if you are not going to use the remote control for a prolonged period, or if you detect corrosion, swelling or leakage.
- Clean the casing with a soft, dry cloth; avoid abrasive products, solvents or sprays.
- Periodically check the battery cover and compartment; replace the remote control if there are cracks, looseness or damaged latches.
- Dispose of used batteries at designated collection points; do not dispose of them in household waste.
Usage restrictions
- Not a toy: keep the remote control and batteries out of the reach of children. Supervision is mandatory in households with children or pets.
- Do not use the remote control to operate equipment that could cause harm if you do not have direct line of sight to the area or adequate stop systems.
- Do not use the remote control outdoors, in very humid areas or in potentially explosive atmospheres unless the product explicitly states its suitability.
- Do not open, modify or tamper with the remote control or its components.
- Use it only with compatible devices and follow the manufacturer's pairing procedure.
- If you have a pacemaker or other implanted medical devices, keep the remote control at a prudent distance from your chest and follow your medical device manufacturer's recommendations.
