Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Paper cuts from the edges when separating, aligning or handling sheets and reams.
  • Jams and possible damage to the printer when using incompatible sizes or weights, or damp, creased or torn paper.
  • Irritation from paper dust when handling large volumes or separating sheets.
  • Strain injuries from lifting heavy reams or boxes.
  • Fire risk if the paper is exposed to flames or intense sources of heat.
  • Trips or slips from loose sheets on the floor.
  • Risk of suffocation from the plastic packaging bag and small inserts.

Safe use

  • Check the size, weight and type of paper supported by your printer before loading it.
  • Handle sheets by the edges and avoid running your fingers along the edge.
  • Fan and separate the pack slightly before loading to reduce static and double feeds.
  • Set the tray guides correctly and do not exceed the indicated capacity mark.
  • Do not load sheets that are damp, curled, torn, dusty or with loose staples, clips or adhesives.
  • If a jam occurs, follow the equipment instructions and do not pull the paper forcibly.
  • For heavy reams or boxes, lift them with both hands and with a stable posture.

Storage and maintenance

  • Keep the paper in its original packaging until use to protect it from moisture and dust.
  • Store it in a dry, cool place out of direct sunlight, away from heat sources.
  • Keep reams in a horizontal position on a flat, firm surface.
  • Avoid excessive or unstable stacking; keep stacks low and secure.
  • After opening, close the pack or use a resealable bag to prevent it from becoming damp.
  • Allow the paper to acclimatise to the print room before use, especially after temperature changes or transport.
  • Keep it off the floor and away from potential water leaks.

Usage restrictions

  • Do not use this paper in thermal printers or other equipment that requires specific media, unless expressly indicated by the manufacturer.
  • Do not use sheets of a size or weight not supported by the equipment, and do not force the tray or feeder.
  • Do not bring paper close to open flames, heating elements or sparks.
  • Do not allow young children to handle reams or the plastic packaging without supervision.
  • Do not use the paper outdoors in the rain or in high-humidity environments.
  • Do not leave loose sheets on the floor; remove them immediately to prevent slips.
