Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Finger entrapment when opening or closing the drawer and in the slides.
  • Knocks or injury from sudden drawer opening.
  • Tip-over or drop due to excessive coin weight or when removing the drawer.
  • Minor cuts on edges or metal parts if they are damaged.
  • Minor electrical risk from damaged cables or connectors and unsuitable adaptors.
  • Trips or snagging due to loose cabling around the counter.
  • Faults caused by liquid spills, moisture or dust build-up in the mechanism.
  • Unauthorised access to cash due to poor management of keys or locks.

Safe use

  • Place the drawer on a stable, level surface; where applicable, secure it to the counter with the accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Keep hands and objects away from the slides; open and close in a controlled manner, without using your body to push.
  • Do not force it open with objects; use the key or the intended opening mechanism.
  • Do not overload; distribute coins evenly to avoid jams and tip-overs.
  • Organise the cabling to avoid pulls and trips; disconnect the equipment before moving the drawer or handling the cables.
  • Keep liquids and food away; in the event of a spill, disconnect and allow to dry completely before using again.
  • Manage keys securely: avoid leaving them inserted and do not leave the drawer open unattended.
  • When transporting, reduce the weight by removing some of the cash and hold it by the base.

Storage and maintenance

  • Disconnect before cleaning; use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid solvents, aerosols and abrasive products.
  • Periodically remove dust and coin debris from the slides and compartments.
  • Do not apply lubricants unless instructed by the manufacturer; excess can attract dirt and cause jamming.
  • Regularly check cables, connectors, the lock and slides; replace damaged or worn parts.
  • Keep in dry indoor environments, away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
  • Store keys in a safe place separate from the equipment; keep track of duplicates.
  • For prolonged storage or transport, empty the drawer, lock it with the key and protect connectors and corners with suitable packaging.

Usage restrictions

  • For indoor use in dry environments; do not use outdoors, in areas with high humidity, conductive dust or potentially explosive atmospheres.
  • Do not use if there is a burning smell, sparking, exposed wires, deformation or a jammed mechanism.
  • Do not modify or drill the chassis, the lock or the wiring; use only compatible accessories and power supplies recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Do not use as a seat, step or support; avoid placing heavy objects on the lid.
  • Do not leave large amounts of cash inside without additional security measures or for long periods without supervision.
  • Keep out of reach of minors and unauthorised persons; ensure supervision when necessary.
