Main risks
- Contact of ink or toner dust with skin and eyes, which may cause irritation.
- Accidental inhalation of toner particles when handling damaged cartridges or spillages.
- Minor cuts from the edges of paper, labels or sheets.
- Jams and overheating of the equipment when using incompatible paper, labels or media.
- Breakage of cracked optical discs during playback, with fragments being ejected.
- Leaks and staining if cartridges and ink bottles are installed or transported improperly.
- Risk of children or pets ingesting or choking on caps, seals and small parts.
Safe use
- Follow the manufacturer's specific installation and replacement instructions for the equipment and the consumable.
- Handle cartridges and bottles upright, avoid impacts, and do not puncture or disassemble them.
- Do not shake toner cartridges vigorously; if appropriate, distribute the contents with gentle, controlled movements.
- Avoid touching contacts, chips or the consumables' photosensitive drum to avoid damaging them or contaminating yourself.
- Use only paper, labels, ribbons or discs of the types and sizes supported by your equipment, and adjust the print settings accordingly.
- Do not insert media that is damp, curled, with loose adhesive, or visibly damaged.
- In the event of an ink or toner spill, ventilate the area and clean with a slightly damp cloth to avoid dispersing particles.
- Wash your hands after handling ink or toner and avoid contact with eyes and mouth; in case of eye contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.
Storage and maintenance
- Keep consumables in their original sealed packaging, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Store cartridges and bottles in a stable position and, where applicable, upright to minimise leaks.
- Avoid extreme temperatures and high humidity; do not leave consumables inside a vehicle or near radiators.
- Keep paper and labels in their wrapping until use to prevent curling, dust and moisture absorption.
- Store optical discs in their cases, without stacking them loose, and avoid bending or scratching them.
- Preferably use consumables in order of age and within the usage period recommended by the manufacturer.
- Close caps and protective covers tightly after each use on reusable containers.
Restrictions on use
- Not suitable for use by children; keep out of the reach of children and pets and use under adult supervision when necessary.
- Do not ingest the contents or use inks or toner on skin, food, or food-contact surfaces.
- Do not use cartridges, bottles, ribbons or discs that are damaged, cracked, swollen or leaking.
- Do not mix inks or toners of different types or part numbers, nor force the installation of incompatible consumables.
- Do not modify, refill or open consumables unless they are specifically designed for it and the relevant instructions are followed.
- Do not expose consumables to open flames, sparks or intense heat.
