Usage Warnings

Electric Air Pumps

Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Risk of electric shock from contact with water, wet hands, or splashes in beach or poolside environments.
  • Overheating of the motor or casing due to continuous use or blocked vents, with a risk of burns and, in extreme cases, smoke or fire.
  • Bursting or damage to the inflatable due to overpressure or using an unsuitable nozzle, with possible ejection of parts or impact injuries.
  • Suction of sand, dust or salt spray into the air intake, which can damage the inflator or expel particles.
  • Power-related hazards: sparks when connecting to 12 V, hot cables or connectors, draining the vehicle battery, and tripping over cables.
  • Entrapment of fingers, hair or clothing in the air vents.

Safe use

  • Use the inflator on a stable, dry and well-ventilated surface; avoid operating with wet hands and keep the equipment away from splashes.
  • Check the recommended pressure of the product to be inflated; inflate gradually and check firmness periodically. If the model does not display pressure, use a compatible pressure gauge.
  • Choose the appropriate nozzle and secure it firmly; do not force connections to avoid damaging valves or adapters.
  • Do not leave the inflator running unattended. Keep children, people and pets away from the work area.
  • Keep the air vents clear and do not cover the inflator during use; if the casing becomes hot, take breaks.
  • Mains connection: use sockets in good condition and fully unwound extension leads; unplug by pulling the plug, never the cable.
  • 12 V connection: connect only to suitable sockets and monitor the connector temperature; avoid prolonged periods with the vehicle engine off to prevent draining the battery.
  • Battery models: charge with the specified charger, on firm surfaces and away from flammable materials; stop use if the battery swells, smells unusual or overheats.
  • Keep fingers, hair and clothing away from air inlets and outlets.

Storage and maintenance

  • Allow the inflator to cool and dry before storing. Remove sand and salt residue with a dry cloth.
  • Store in a cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight and moisture; use a cover or box to prevent knocks.
  • Periodically check cables, plugs, hoses, nozzles and casing; do not use the inflator if you notice cracks, loose parts or frayed or exposed wires.
  • Keep the vents and accessories clean; do not insert sharp objects to clean them.
  • If it gets wet, disconnect and allow it to dry completely before using again.
  • For battery models, charge periodically according to the manufacturer’s instructions and avoid storing it completely discharged.

Usage restrictions

  • Not suitable for immersion or use in heavy rain; avoid placing it at the water’s edge or in areas with a risk of continual splashing.
  • Do not use to inflate vehicle tyres, diving equipment, pressurised bottles or for breathable air. Use only on items compatible with its pressure range.
  • Do not modify, open or attempt internal repairs on the inflator or the battery.
  • Do not cover the device or use it inside bags, boxes or other enclosed spaces.
  • Do not use it if you detect a burning smell, sparks, unusual vibrations or smoke; disconnect immediately.
  • Not suitable for use by children; keep out of their reach and always use under adult supervision.
