Usage Warnings

Shower Riser Rails

Warnings and safety precautions

Main risks

  • Detachment of the rail or shower handset holder due to loose fixings, unsuitable adhesives or incorrect installation, with a risk of injury or breakage.
  • Accidental drilling into hidden water pipes or cables while drilling the wall.
  • Damage to tiles and surfaces (cracks or chipping) during drilling or by over-tightening the fixings.
  • Cuts or pinching injuries when handling metal parts or adjusting the slider.
  • Slips and falls when working in a wet bathroom area.
  • Loosening of screws or corrosion over time, which may cause the assembly to fall.

Safe use

  • Work with the area dry and stable; wear gloves and eye protection when drilling or handling parts.
  • Check the wall beforehand to avoid hidden pipes and cables; use wall plugs and screws suitable for the surface type.
  • If the system is adhesive, clean and degrease the surface and respect the curing time before applying any load.
  • Offer up and mark without forcing; drill with the appropriate tile drill bit at low pressure to avoid cracking.
  • Check the firmness of the fixings before first use and periodically.
  • Do not use the rail for support or hang from it; it is intended to hold the shower handset and light accessories within the load specified by the manufacturer.
  • Keep small parts and tools out of the reach of children during installation.

Storage and maintenance

  • Before installation, keep the rail and fixings in a dry place and protected from impacts.
  • Clean with a soft cloth and soapy water; rinse and dry afterwards. Avoid scouring pads, abrasive, acidic or chlorine-based products that may damage the finish or adhesives.
  • Remove limescale and soap residues regularly so that the holder slides correctly.
  • Periodically check screws, wall plugs and brackets; retighten or replace if there is any play, rust or wear.
  • Check the condition of pads or adhesives (if present) and replace them if adhesion is reduced.

Usage restrictions

  • Do not use as a grab bar for standing up, holding on to or supporting body weight.
  • Do not hang baskets, towels or heavy objects that exceed the recommended load.
  • Do not install on loose surfaces, with broken tiles, flaking paint or persistent damp.
  • Do not modify, cut or drill the rail except where expressly indicated by the manufacturer and using the intended accessories.
  • Discontinue use if cracks, deformations or looseness are detected until it is repaired or replaced.
  • Children must not climb on, hang from or play with the rail; in households with older people or those with reduced mobility, use dedicated support aids.
