Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- High weight and bulk that can cause back, hand or foot injuries during handling.
- Drops or impacts of the unit that can cause breakage and cuts from chipped ceramic edges.
- Improper fixing that may lead to instability, tipping or detachment.
- Poorly sealed water and waste connections with a risk of leaks, damp and bad odours.
- Incorrect use of cleaning chemicals, with a risk of irritation or hazardous gases when mixed.
- Thermal shock from pouring very hot liquids that can crack the ceramic.
- Blockages and overflows that may cause spillage and water damage.
Safe use
- On receipt, check that there are no cracks, chips or visible defects before installation.
- Handle the pan with two people when necessary; wear grip gloves and closed-toe footwear, and protect the floor.
- Shut off the water supply and prepare the area before replacing the unit to prevent unexpected leaks.
- Follow the manufacturer's instructions; use compatible seals, couplings and fixings. Do not over-tighten screws to avoid cracking.
- Ensure a firm, level support; check stability before first use.
- Apply suitable sanitary sealants at joints and observe the recommended curing times.
- Perform test flushes and check that there are no leaks at the connections and base.
- For cleaning, ventilate the bathroom, wear gloves and never mix bleach with acids or descalers.
- If you lack plumbing experience, especially with wall-hung models, consider having installation carried out by a qualified professional.
Storage and maintenance
- Keep the unit in its original packaging until installation, on a flat, stable surface.
- Do not stack unsafely or place heavy objects on top; avoid impacts and drops during transport.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and sudden temperature changes.
- Clean regularly with non-abrasive sanitary cleaners and soft cloths; avoid metal or very abrasive scouring pads.
- Periodically check fixings, seals and sealant; if you detect any play, tighten gently without forcing.
- If cracks, chips or breaks occur, stop using it and replace the unit to prevent cuts and leaks.
- If the toilet will be unused, pour some water into the pan periodically to keep the trap full and prevent odours.
Restrictions of use
- Do not use the pan as a step, seat or support for heavy loads.
- Do not stand on it or have multiple people sit on it at the same time; avoid lateral loads that could loosen the fixings.
- Do not pour boiling water, solvents, paints, oils or grease into the pan.
- Do not strike the ceramic or drop heavy objects into the pan.
- Do not use sharp or metal tools to clear blockages that could damage the glaze; opt for suitable, gentle methods.
- Do not modify fixings or drill the unit; use only seats, cisterns and accessories compatible with the model.
- Keep cleaning products out of the reach of children and prevent them from climbing or playing on the toilet.
