Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Overloading that may cause discomfort in the shoulders, neck or back, and premature wear of handles and seams.
- Entanglement or snagging of long straps on doors, handrails, escalators or bicycles, creating a risk of sudden tugs or falls.
- Minor pinches or scratches from zips, buckles and hardware.
- Risk of choking or accidental ingestion of small parts (decorations, rivets) by children.
- Possible skin irritation from contact with dyes, adhesives or metals in sensitive individuals.
- If the bag includes a magnetic closure, possible interference with implanted medical devices.
- Materials may be flammable; increased risk near open flames or intense heat.
Safe use
- Adjust the strap so the bag does not drag or swing excessively; avoid wearing it very loose in areas with escalators or automatic doors.
- Do not overload it; distribute the weight and alternate shoulders when possible. For heavy loads, consider larger-capacity designs intended for that purpose.
- Regularly check seams, snap hooks, buckles and zips. If you notice wear, avoid using it until it is repaired or the part is replaced.
- Avoid placing sharp objects without a sheath; they could pierce the fabric or cause cuts when handling the bag.
- Keep zips and pockets closed to prevent contents from falling out and to avoid catching on clothing or skin.
- When walking or getting on or off transport, hold the bag so it does not get caught or throw you off balance.
- Keep the bag away from flames, heaters, barbecues and lit cigarettes.
- If it has a magnetic closure, keep a safe distance from implanted medical devices and from magnetic stripe cards.
- Avoid prolonged contact with water, oils, perfumes or cosmetics that may damage materials and hardware.
Storage and maintenance
- Store it in a dry, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight and sources of heat.
- Use a dust cover or fabric bag; avoid sealed plastic bags that trap moisture.
- If it gets wet, gently pat dry with a cloth and allow to air-dry at room temperature; do not use a hairdryer, radiator or iron.
- For routine cleaning, use a soft, slightly damp cloth and products suitable for the material; test first on an inconspicuous area.
- Do not use solvents, bleach or abrasive cleaners that could damage the colour and finishes.
- Lightly stuff it (with soft paper) to help retain its shape; avoid hanging it by the handle for long periods with weight inside.
- Periodically check screws and visible hardware; if you notice looseness or breakage, stop use until repaired.
- Keep out of reach of young children and pets to prevent tugs or bites, or parts detaching.
Usage restrictions
- Not a toy or a restraint device; do not use as a harness, seat, lifting system or for climbing.
- Not suitable for children under 3 years due to risk of strangulation and choking on small parts; for older children, use under supervision.
- Do not use to carry hot liquids, corrosive substances or sharp materials without appropriate sealed containers.
- Do not use near moving machinery or rotating parts where straps may become caught.
- Avoid models with a magnetic closure if you have implanted medical devices sensitive to magnetic fields.
- Do not use for loads that exceed reasonable limits for its size and design.
