Safety warnings and precautions
Key risks
- Overloading and loss of balance, which may cause back or shoulder pain and increase the risk of falls.
- Snagging or tripping on loose straps on bicycles, gym equipment or vegetation.
- Chafing or pressure irritation on shoulders and collarbones, especially in heat or humidity.
- Damage to electronic devices or other items from impact or moisture inside the backpack.
- Burns or material degradation from contact with heat sources, flames or very hot surfaces.
- Accidental bumping into others or reduced visibility in confined spaces when wearing bulky backpacks.
- Minor pinches when handling zips and buckles.
- Risk of entrapment or strangulation with straps for children.
Safe use
- Choose an appropriate capacity and correctly adjust the shoulder straps and, if available, the chest strap and hip belt, without compromising breathing.
- Distribute the load: place heavy items close to the back, centred and stable; avoid overloading.
- Secure and tidy away excess strap ends; close zips and fasten buckles before moving.
- Protect sharp or edged items using protective covers or sleeves to prevent puncturing the fabric.
- Keep electronics and documents separate from liquids; in rain or with sweat, use internal watertight bags. Do not assume the backpack is waterproof.
- Before running, cycling or skating, check it does not shift and does not interfere with your helmet, vision or balance; in low visibility, add reflective elements or lights.
- To put it on, if possible rest it on a stable, waist-height surface and avoid sudden twists when lifting it.
- Take breaks during prolonged use and readjust if you feel pressure, tingling or numbness.
Storage and maintenance
- Empty and air it after each use; if it gets wet, dry it completely in the shade before storing.
- Clean with a cloth and mild soap, following the care label; avoid bleach, solvents and tumble dryers.
- Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Do not leave it hanging with weight for long periods; store unloaded or with soft stuffing to retain its shape.
- Check seams, zips and buckles periodically; repair or stop using it if you detect breaks, tears or fastenings that do not function.
- Keep it away from oils, fuels and abrasive surfaces that can degrade the fabric.
- If the fabric includes a water-repellent finish, follow the manufacturer’s instructions for its maintenance.
Usage restrictions
- It is not a restraint, climbing or protective system; do not use it for hoisting, dragging or as an anchor point.
- It is not intended to carry children, babies or pets, nor to be used as a seat or flotation device.
- Do not exceed a weight you can lift and carry comfortably; if you feel pain or fatigue, reduce the load or stop the activity.
- Do not modify the backpack by piercing or cutting straps, nor replace buckles with parts not designed for the model.
- Keep children under supervision; adjust size and load to their height and avoid long or loose cords.
- Do not use it near moving machinery where straps can get caught, or in areas with an open flame.
