Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Swallowing button batteries and choking on small parts if the battery compartment is opened.
  • Battery leakage or corrosion that may cause skin irritation and damage the device.
  • Damage from liquids, moisture or condensation that may cause malfunctions.
  • Overheating or warping due to prolonged exposure to sunlight or heat sources.
  • Short-circuiting and heating of loose batteries when in contact with metal objects.
  • Eye strain from prolonged use or poor lighting.
  • Risk of sharp edges if the screen or casing breaks after a drop or impact.

Safe use

  • Keep button batteries out of the reach of children and ensure the battery compartment is securely closed.
  • Install batteries observing the correct polarity; do not mix new and used batteries or different types; do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
  • If your model is rechargeable, use only the cable or adapter specified for that model, charge on a stable, well-ventilated surface and do not use the device with a damaged cable or port.
  • Avoid contact with liquids and do not use it with wet hands; if it gets wet, switch it off, remove the batteries if safe to do so, and allow it to dry completely before using again.
  • Do not open, modify or pierce the calculator; you could damage components and compromise safety.
  • Do not press the display or the solar panel; transport the device in a case or compartment that protects it from knocks.
  • Use in a well-lit environment and take breaks to reduce eye strain.

Storage and maintenance

  • Store the calculator in a cool, dry place, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight (including inside a car on hot days).
  • If you will not use it for a prolonged period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
  • Check the condition of the battery compartment periodically; if there are signs of rust, swelling or leakage, remove the batteries carefully and clean according to the product instructions.
  • Clean with a soft, dry cloth or one slightly dampened with water; avoid solvents, alcohol and aerosols.
  • Store spare batteries in their original packaging, separate from metal objects and out of the reach of children.
  • Do not place weight on the calculator and avoid bending it to prevent damage to the display or keys.

Usage restrictions

  • Not a toy. Keep out of the reach of young children; if used by minors, ensure adult supervision, especially with models that use button batteries.
  • Do not use the calculator if it has cracks, a broken screen, an unusual smell, abnormal heating or signs of battery leakage.
  • Do not expose the product to water, rain or very humid environments; do not use or charge it (if applicable) on soft surfaces that retain heat.
  • Do not insert objects into the device's slots, ports or openings.
  • Do not use incompatible chargers, cables or batteries; do not pierce, crush or throw batteries into fire.
  • Do not carry loose batteries together with keys or coins to avoid short circuits.
