• Button batteries in light-up or sound souvenirs: serious danger if swallowed.

• Magnets that may affect electronic devices, magnetic stripe cards, or come loose in products with poor adhesion.
• Stains or surface damage caused by adhesives, inks or finishes on certain items.

Safe use

• Inspect the item before use: check for loose parts, sharp edges or cracks.
• Keep souvenirs out of reach of children under 3, and supervise older children when small parts, magnets or batteries are present.
• Do not put items in the mouth or use them as toys unless expressly indicated.
• For badges, pins and brooches, fasten the closure securely and place them on sturdy fabrics to prevent punctures or coming loose.
• If the item includes light or sound, ensure the battery compartment is securely closed; keep spare batteries out of the reach of children.
• Place fragile objects on stable surfaces and away from edges to prevent falls and breakage.

Storage and maintenance

• Store in a dry, ventilated place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
• Protect fragile objects with padded wrapping to prevent knocks.
• Keep magnets separate from magnetic cards, electronic keys and hard drives.
• If the item is battery-powered, remove the batteries when not in use for prolonged periods and store them out of reach of children.
