Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Glare and possible eye injury from direct exposure to the light beam.
- Hot surfaces and hot air exhausts that may cause minor burns if touched after prolonged use.
- Electrical risk due to damaged cables, loose plugs or sockets, or the presence of moisture and liquids.
- Overheating if the air vents are obstructed, potentially causing equipment failure or, in extreme cases, a fire hazard.
- Projector falls due to inadequate mounts, knocks or vibrations, causing property damage or personal injury.
- Trips and accidental tugs caused by poorly managed power or signal cables.
- Impact damage that may break the lens or other components.
Safe use
- Place the projector on a stable, level surface or on a mount suitable for its size and weight.
- Keep the air vents clear and allow space around it to promote airflow.
- Do not look directly into the lens or direct the beam towards people or animals; avoid direct reflections from mirrors or highly reflective surfaces.
- Manage cables by securing them to walls or the floor where possible to prevent trips and tugs.
- Connect to a mains socket in good condition and avoid overloading extension leads; if you detect a strange smell, smoke, or unusual noises, switch off and unplug.
- Keep drinks and other liquids away; do not handle the device with wet hands.
- Allow the projector to complete its cool-down before moving, storing or covering it.
- For ceiling or wall installations, use appropriate fixings and a secondary safety restraint; if you lack experience, consult a qualified installer.
- Adjust brightness and projection distance to avoid eye strain in dark rooms.
Storage and maintenance
- Disconnect the projector from the mains before any cleaning or handling.
- Clean the lens with a dry microfibre cloth; avoid abrasive products or liquids that may leave residue.
- Remove dust from the vents and, if your model includes them, clean or replace the filters following the manufacturer's instructions.
- Store the unit in a dry, cool, well-ventilated place, away from direct sunlight, moisture and excessive dust.
- Transport the projector in a padded case with the lens protected to prevent knocks.
- Disconnect from the mains and signal cables during storms to reduce the risk of power surges.
- Regularly check the condition of cables, plug and mount; replace damaged components with ones compatible with the model.
Usage restrictions
- Do not use the projector outdoors unless suitably protected or designed for outdoor use.
- Do not cover the unit or place objects that block ventilation during operation.
- Do not use it on soft or unstable surfaces (beds, sofas) or near flammable materials or heat sources.
- Do not insert objects into the slots or open the casing; there is a risk of electric shock.
- Do not use the projector if the cable, plug or casing show visible damage.
- Do not modify the unit or use accessories or mounts that do not ensure a secure hold.
- Keep the projector and the light beam out of reach of small children; use the device under supervision in their presence.
- Avoid pointing the beam towards exterior windows, vehicles or areas of traffic so as not to distract or dazzle others.
