Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Cuts and nicks to the skin, especially on curved or folded areas.
- Irritation, stinging or ingrown hairs due to excessive pressure, dry shaving or dull blades.
- Infections from using dirty, shared or damp-stored blades.
- Detachment of the head or blade due to incorrect assembly or a loose fit.
- Corrosion or rust that creates an uneven edge and increases the risk of cuts.
- Injuries when handling or disposing of loose, unprotected blades.
- Risk to children and pets if they access the blades.
- Possible skin reactions in people sensitive to certain metals or lubricating strips.
Safe use
- Check compatibility between blade and handle and ensure the fit is secure before use.
- Check that the blade is not nicked, bent or rusty; if it is, replace it.
- Wet the skin and use a shaving product for lubrication; avoid dry shaving.
- Shave with short, gentle strokes without applying pressure; start by following the direction of hair growth.
- Gently stretch the skin with your free hand in tricky areas and proceed slowly.
- Rinse the blade frequently to remove hair and lather; do not tap it against hard surfaces.
- Keep hands and handle dry for a secure grip; shave with good lighting and in front of a mirror.
- Do not test the edge with your fingers or attempt to straighten a damaged blade.
- If a cut occurs, stop shaving and clean the area before continuing or replacing the blade.
Storage and maintenance
- Rinse the blade with warm water after each use and shake off the excess; avoid rubbing the edge to prevent damage.
- Dry the handle and fit the guard or cap whenever possible.
- Store it in a dry, well-ventilated place, away from the constant moisture of the shower tray.
- Do not leave the blade submerged or enclosed while damp, to prevent corrosion.
- Replace the blade when you notice tugging, irritation, loss of sharpness or signs of rust.
- Keep new and used blades separate and clearly identified.
- For disposal, place the blade in its case, in a dedicated blade container, or wrapped in a sturdy material that covers the edge.
Restrictions of use
- Keep out of reach of children; not a toy. People with reduced dexterity or vision should use it with assistance or supervision.
- Do not share blades or heads to avoid cross-contamination.
- Do not use on inflamed or irritated skin, or on cuts, sunburn, eczema, inflamed acne or warts; avoid shaving over prominent moles.
- Do not use the blades to cut materials other than hair.
- Avoid shaving on slippery surfaces without non-slip features or in situations with limited stability.
- Discontinue use if an unusual skin reaction occurs and change the blade or the shaving method.
