Warnings and safety precautions

Main risks

  • Slips due to drips or soap spills on the washbasin or floor.
  • Cuts from broken containers or parts, especially in glass models or those with damaged edges.
  • Skin or eye irritation from contact with concentrated soaps or cleaners.
  • Build-up of bacteria or mould if the dispenser remains dirty or with product residue.
  • Dispenser falling due to inadequate wall fixing or poorly adhered adhesive pads.
  • Splashes into the eyes when operating the pump or during refilling.
  • Leaks that dampen nearby furniture, joints or sockets.
  • Electrical risk in battery-powered automatic models if water enters the compartment.

Safe use

  • Position the dispenser on a stable, level surface; if wall-mounted, follow the fixing instructions and periodically check the fixing.
  • Aim the nozzle towards the washbasin and operate with moderate pressure to avoid splashes.
  • Wipe up any drips or spills immediately to reduce the risk of slipping.
  • Do not overfill; leave a small air gap so the mechanism works correctly.
  • Avoid mixing soaps of different formulations to prevent thickening or blockages.
  • Refill on a stable surface, away from the edge, and keep your eyes away from the nozzle.
  • For sensor or battery models, keep the sensor area and battery compartment dry.
  • If you notice cracks, looseness or sharp edges, stop using the dispenser until the affected parts are replaced or repaired.

Storage and maintenance

  • Clean the exterior with a soft cloth and soapy water; avoid scouring pads or abrasive products.
  • Periodically empty, rinse and dry the interior to prevent blockages, bad odours and the proliferation of microorganisms.
  • Occasionally disinfect with a suitable solution compatible with the materials, following the cleaner’s instructions.
  • Check seals, nozzle and pump; replace worn components to prevent leaks.
  • Keep the dispenser upright and away from direct heat sources and intense sunlight.
  • Avoid frost or extreme temperatures that could thicken the soap or damage the mechanism.
  • If you are not going to use an automatic model for a while, remove the batteries and keep the compartment dry.

Restrictions on use

  • Do not use the dispenser for food, drinks or other liquids not intended for personal hygiene.
  • Do not refill with corrosive liquids, flammable liquids, solvents, concentrated bleach or very hot liquids.
  • Do not place the dispenser under direct, constant water (e.g. in the shower) unless the product is designed for it.
  • Keep out of reach of young children and avoid playing with the dispenser to prevent accidental ingestion or spills.
  • Do not handle electric models with wet hands or change the batteries near water.
  • Do not hang towels or other objects from the dispenser or use it for support.
