Safety warnings and precautions

Key risks

  • Overheating, fire or burns from damaged batteries, use of unsuitable chargers, or insufficient ventilation during charging.
  • Electric shock when connecting or disconnecting with wet hands or in very humid environments.
  • Cuts or injuries from a broken screen after drops or impacts.
  • Loss of attention while driving or walking near traffic, with risk of an accident.
  • Discomfort or hearing damage from prolonged exposure to high volumes with headphones or speaker.
  • Interference with active medical implants if kept very close to the body.
  • Risk to children from small parts (SIM tray, ejector tool, cards) and cables.
  • Liquid damage that may cause corrosion, device failure, or risk when charging while wet.

Safe use

  • Use compatible chargers and cables, in good condition and from a reliable source; avoid loose or damaged adaptors.
  • Charge the phone on a firm, well-ventilated surface; do not cover it with clothing or blankets, and do not place it under a pillow.
  • If you notice a burning smell, crackling, battery swelling or unusual heat, unplug and stop using the device until it has been checked.
  • Always connect and disconnect with dry hands; avoid using or charging the phone near baths, showers or sinks.
  • Reduce the risk of drops with a case and screen protector, and hold it firmly when using it.
  • Adjust the volume gradually and limit prolonged exposure to high levels when using headphones.
  • Keep the phone away from medical implants; avoid keeping it in a breast pocket and use the ear opposite the implant during calls, following the recommendations of your healthcare professional or the implant manufacturer.
  • Handle the SIM tray with care and keep the ejector tool in a safe place, out of the reach of children.
  • Unplug the charger when not in use, and do not sleep with the phone plugged in on the bed.

Storage and maintenance

  • Store the phone in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources (for example, a car dashboard in the sun).
  • Keep the device and charging port clean and dry; wipe with a soft, dry cloth and do not use abrasive products or liquids.
  • Do not insert metal objects into the ports; if there is lint, remove it gently with the device switched off.
  • If it gets wet, turn it off, disconnect it from power, dry the exterior without applying direct heat, and allow it to dry completely before switching on or charging.
  • Check cables and adaptors periodically; replace any component with cuts, pronounced bends or loose connectors.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures during storage and charging; do not cover the device if it becomes hot.
  • Do not open the phone or attempt to remove or pierce the battery; repairs must be carried out by qualified technicians.

Restrictions on use

  • Do not use the phone while driving, cycling or riding a scooter; stop in a safe place before handling it.
  • Follow the instructions on aeroplanes, in hospitals, at petrol stations and in areas with specific signage; disable wireless functions when required.
  • Do not use or charge the phone on flammable surfaces or under pillows, blankets or cushions.
  • Do not expose the device to flames, ovens or microwaves, and do not incinerate it; do not crush, pierce or bend it.
  • Do not use the phone near water when it is connected to power (bath, shower, swimming pool, sink).
  • Keep the phone, cables and accessories out of reach of small children and pets; it is not a toy.
  • Avoid accessories or modifications not designed for your model, as they may cause malfunctions or overheating.
  • If the battery is swollen, damaged or leaking, do not handle it; stop using the device and arrange its recycling at an appropriate collection point.
