Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Choking hazard from small parts, balls that are too small, or components that may detach.
  • Ingestion of cords, threads, stuffing, or internal squeakers if the toy breaks.
  • Oral or dental injuries from toys that are too hard, splintered, or with sharp edges.
  • Entanglement or strangulation with long cords, ties or elastics.
  • Irritation of the skin or mucous membranes from unsuitable materials or finishes with a strong odour.
  • Electrical or chemical risks in electronic toys (battery leaks, overheating).
  • Contamination with mould or bacteria in damp or poorly cleaned toys.
  • Impacts or falls when playing in areas with stairs, traffic, swimming pools, or slippery surfaces.

Safe use

  • Choose size and durability appropriate to your pet’s species, size, and strength; avoid toys that can fit entirely in the mouth.
  • Supervise play, especially with small balls, rope toys, toys with sound, stuffing, or moving parts.
  • Inspect before each use: if there are cracks, open seams, or loose parts, remove it immediately.
  • In tug games, avoid sudden yanks to prevent injury to the neck or teeth.
  • Avoid throwing toys near roads, balconies, glass, or stairs.
  • In water, use only floating toys and maintain constant supervision; do not use in strong currents.
  • With laser pointers, do not aim at the eyes of animals or people and limit the duration of the session.
  • For electronic toys, ensure the battery compartment closes securely; keep loose batteries out of reach.
  • Remove food residues from dispenser toys and monitor portions.

Storage and maintenance

  • Clean according to the material with lukewarm water and mild soap; rinse thoroughly and dry completely before storing.
  • Avoid bleach or other harsh products unless directed by the manufacturer.
  • After outdoor or water play, remove excess moisture and allow to air dry in a ventilated place.
  • Store toys in a dry, clean place and out of direct sunlight or heat sources.
  • Keep dirty toys separate from clean ones, and store those containing food in sealed, hygienic containers.
  • Check overall condition periodically and safely dispose of those that are frayed, broken, or with a persistent odour.
  • For electronic toys, do not submerge them; clean with a slightly damp cloth and remove the batteries if they will not be used for a while.
  • Remove packaging, ties and loose labels before first use.

Usage restrictions

  • Not a children’s toy; keep pet toys out of reach of children without supervision.
  • Do not offer toys that are too small for your pet’s mouth size or unsuitable for their chewing strength.
  • Do not leave your pet with the toy unsupervised for prolonged periods if it contains cords, stuffing, small parts, or electronics.
  • Do not allow its use if your pet tends to swallow objects; choose large, one-piece alternatives.
  • Do not use laser pointers directly on eyes or at close range.
  • Do not modify the toy or add long cords, elastics, or parts that could become entangled.
  • Do not use near fire, radiators, or other heat sources; do not incinerate the product.
  • Do not use toys with signs of excessive wear or breakage.
