Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Falling of suspended elements due to inadequate fixings or overloading.
  • Cuts and punctures when handling profiles and parts with sharp edges.
  • Impacts or hand entrapment when fitting or tensioning components.
  • Accidental drilling into hidden electrical cables or pipework.
  • Falls from ladders or scaffolds during work at height.
  • Inhalation of dust and exposure to noise when cutting or drilling.
  • Corrosion in damp environments that weakens anchors and joints.
  • System deformation due to the use of damaged or incompatible parts.

Safe use

  • Check that the accessory is suitable for the type of partition or ceiling and for the substrate (concrete, brick, timber, etc.).
  • Verify the load capacity specified by the system manufacturer and do not exceed it; distribute the loads and use the intended number of anchors.
  • Locate concealed services in advance with a detector and isolate the power when necessary.
  • Use appropriate PPE: cut-resistant gloves, eye protection, hard hat, safety footwear and a dust mask when drilling or cutting; hearing protection if applicable.
  • Secure ladders and platforms; maintain three points of contact and do not work at height without suitable guardrails or restraint.
  • Do not remain beneath suspended elements until all fixings are completed and verified.
  • Handle long profiles and parts with two people when necessary to avoid impacts and twisting.
  • Remove burrs and sharp edges before assembly; use tools in good condition and compatible screwdriver bits.
  • Tighten the fixings without deforming the profiles; replace screws or plugs that do not grip correctly.
  • In damp or condensate-prone areas, select components suitable for the environment and protect cut edges against corrosion.
  • Before closing the partition or ceiling, verify alignment, level, fastening tightness and continuity of the hangers.

Storage and maintenance

  • Store the accessories in a dry, ventilated place, away from sources of moisture and splashes.
  • Stack profiles horizontally on continuous, level supports to avoid buckling or deformation.
  • Keep fasteners and anchors in their closed packaging; avoid contact with water or chemicals.
  • Do not drag parts along the floor; handle them carefully to avoid bending them or damaging threads and heads.
  • Inspect before installing: discard items that are rusted, bent, have damaged threads or cracks.
  • In suspended ceilings and partitions that support loads, perform periodic inspections of hangers, tensioners and anchors; replace any part with looseness or corrosion.
  • Clean dust and debris that may interfere with joints and supports.
  • Store by sizes and types to avoid mixing and loss of small parts.

Restrictions on use

  • Do not use these accessories for purposes other than the installation of partitions and ceilings as intended by the system.
  • Avoid mixing components from different systems or brands unless their compatibility is expressly indicated.
  • Do not modify, drill or bend parts outside the areas provided for by the system design.
  • Do not suspend luminaires, equipment, services or other loads from a ceiling or partition without proper calculation and specific fixings.
  • Do not use outdoors or in aggressive environments (marine, swimming pools, chemical) if the product is not designed for it.
  • Do not reuse anchors or screws that have lost their grip; always replace damaged ones.
  • Do not install if components are missing, if the substrate is fragile or degraded; address the substrate condition first.
  • Work at height must be carried out and supervised by competent persons with appropriate equipment.
  • Keep all parts and tools out of the reach of children and people unfamiliar with their use.
