Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Breakage of the container (especially glass) due to impacts or thermal shock, with a risk of cuts.
- Spills, drips or leaks from the tap that may cause slips and damage surfaces.
- Burns if very hot drinks are poured in.
- Internal pressure when using carbonated or fermenting drinks, with possible splashes or the lid or tap being forced off.
- Contamination of the drink due to poor hygiene or keeping perishable liquids at an unsuitable temperature.
- Injuries from strain or falls when moving the dispenser while it is full.
- Tipping over due to poor placement, unstable supports or accidental knocks.
- Small parts coming loose from the tap or seals, hazardous for children.
Safe use
- Wash and rinse all parts in contact with the drink before first use and after each use.
- Assemble the tap and seals following the manufacturer’s instructions; check for leaks with water before filling it completely.
- Place the dispenser on a flat, stable and sturdy surface; avoid edges and, if possible, use a drip tray.
- Avoid sudden temperature changes: do not pour in boiling liquids; if adding ice, do so gradually and with care.
- Do not use carbonated or fermenting drinks, or dry ice, unless the product expressly states this.
- Leave some space unfilled to fit the lid and prevent overflow.
- Serve by holding the glass with one hand and operating the tap gently; do not push or move the dispenser while serving.
- Maintain good hygiene practices: do not rest the glass on the spout or insert dirty utensils inside.
- To move it, empty it or do so with both hands holding the body; never pick it up by the tap, lid or stand.
Storage and maintenance
- Empty any contents that will not be consumed and refrigerate perishable drinks; avoid leaving them at room temperature for prolonged periods.
- Disassemble and clean the tap, seals and lid after each use with warm water and mild detergent; rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Avoid abrasive scourers, chlorine-based products or cleaners that may scratch or degrade the surfaces.
- Allow to air-dry with the lid removed or open; store the dispenser completely dry to prevent odours and mould.
- Periodically check for cracks, a loose tap or deteriorated seals; replace damaged parts.
- Use a dishwasher only if indicated by the manufacturer; otherwise, wash by hand.
- Store in a clean, dry place, protected from direct sunlight and sources of heat.
Restrictions on use
- Do not use with very hot liquids, carbonated or fermenting drinks, or dry ice, unless expressly indicated by the manufacturer.
- Do not use with high-strength alcoholic drinks or very acidic drinks for prolonged periods if the product does not allow it.
- Do not use for storing drinks for long periods; intended for temporary service.
- Do not place on the edges of worktops, in narrow walkways or where it may be knocked by children or pets.
- Do not allow children to handle the tap or dispenser without supervision; keep small parts out of their reach.
- Do not use if it shows cracks, deformations, a loose spout or persistent leaks.
- Do not use for non-food substances, concentrated essential oils or corrosive products.
