Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Overloading that may cause back and shoulder pain, or loss of balance when walking or going up or down stairs.
- Trips and falls caused by leaving the bag in walkways or by trailing straps.
- Straps, drawstrings or buckles catching on doors, handrails, bicycles or scooters.
- Cuts or punctures when reaching in if there are unprotected sharp objects inside.
- Minor trapping in zips and buckles.
- Liquid spills that may cause slips or damage other items of equipment.
- Bad odours and mould growth from keeping damp clothes or towels inside for a long time.
- Risk of suffocation from plastic packaging bags: keep packaging out of reach of children.
Safe use
- Follow the recommended load capacity and distribute the weight; if the bag has shoulder straps, adjust them and use both shoulders for balance.
- Adjust and secure the straps so they do not hang or get tangled; avoid them trailing on the ground.
- Close zips and pockets before moving; store sharp objects with protective covers or in appropriate compartments.
- Keep liquids in well-sealed containers and, if possible, upright to reduce the risk of spills.
- Place the bag in lockers or designated areas and avoid leaving it in corridors or workout areas.
- When lifting, bend your knees and use both hands; avoid sudden twisting while carrying weight.
- If travelling by bike or scooter, secure it firmly to your body or a rack and do not leave loose straps that could catch.
- In low-light conditions, improve your visibility with reflective elements on your equipment or additional lighting.
Storage and maintenance
- Empty and air out the bag after training; do not leave damp clothes or towels inside.
- Air-dry it completely before storing to prevent bad odours and mould.
- Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid bleach, solvents and abrasive scourers.
- Store it in a dry, ventilated place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Regularly check seams, zips and buckles; if they are heavily worn or damaged, repair or replace the bag.
- Avoid hanging a heavily loaded bag from a single handle for long periods to prevent deforming fabrics or fittings.
- Carry liquids, gels and cosmetics in closed containers and, where possible, kept separate from the rest of the contents.
Restrictions of use
- Do not use the bag to carry people, animals or hazardous loads.
- Do not use it as safety equipment, a harness, rope or anchor point.
- Do not exceed the manufacturer's recommended load capacity.
- Do not use it as a seat, step or support for exercising.
- Keep packaging and the bag itself away from children's heads; with children, take extra care with bags that have drawstrings to prevent entanglement.
- Do not carry it in a way that limits your vision or mobility when driving or operating machinery.
- Do not place unprotected sharp objects or flammable or corrosive substances inside.
