Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Glare and possible eye injury from the high-intensity light; temporary loss of vision that may cause accidents.
  • Heating of the head and body after prolonged use; risk of burns when touching hot areas.
  • Accidental activation in bags or pockets, or prolonged operation on flammable materials, with a risk of overheating or starting a fire.
  • Leakage, overheating or failure of batteries/cells due to improper use, impacts or incorrect installation.
  • Risk during charging (USB or charging base): overheating and short circuits, especially in the presence of moisture.
  • Ingress of water or dust causing malfunction or corrosion if the model's resistance rating is exceeded.
  • Drops and impacts due to loss of grip, with possible damage to the lens, LED or battery.
  • Interference with sensitive items if the model includes a magnet in the base (where applicable).

Safe use

  • Install the batteries observing the indicated polarity; do not mix new and used batteries or different chemistries.
  • Use only the battery/cell type and the charger recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Do not look directly into the beam or aim it at the eyes of people or animals; use low modes indoors and in confined spaces.
  • Secure caps and seals before exposure to rain or dirt; dry the torch if it gets wet.
  • During charging, place it on a stable, non-flammable and well-ventilated surface; do not cover it or leave it charging for long periods without supervision.
  • Activate the switch lock (if available) or slightly loosen the tailcap to prevent accidental activation during transport.
  • Hold it firmly and, if it includes a strap, use it to prevent drops; keep your hands dry and free of oils.
  • Stop using it if you notice a burning smell, crackling, abnormal heat or swelling; switch it off, let it cool and check the condition of the battery.
  • Avoid using it in atmospheres with flammable gases or dust unless the product is specifically rated for it.

Storage and maintenance

  • Store it in a dry, cool and ventilated place, away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
  • Keep the torch and batteries out of reach of children.
  • If it will not be used for several weeks, remove the batteries or store rechargeable batteries separately with a moderate charge.
  • Periodically check the condition of the batteries/cells and replace them if they show bulging, rust or leaks.
  • Clean threads, contacts and surface with a dry cloth; avoid aggressive solvents and sharp objects.
  • After exposure to water or dirt, clean and dry carefully to prevent corrosion.
  • Check that the seals are clean and in good condition; if indicated by the manufacturer, lubricate them lightly with silicone grease.
  • Recycle batteries/cells at designated collection points.

Restrictions on use

  • Not a toy: not suitable for children without adult supervision.
  • Do not direct the beam at moving vehicles, aircraft or highly reflective surfaces at close range.
  • Do not use or charge the torch on beds, sofas, inside bags or under pillows, nor in very humid environments.
  • Do not use batteries that are damaged, swollen or of dubious origin; do not mix different brands, capacities or chemistries.
  • Do not submerge the torch or use it as a diving light unless expressly indicated by the manufacturer.
  • Do not cover the head when it is switched on or leave it running unattended.
  • Do not modify or puncture the battery or the circuit; if there is visible damage to the casing, lens or switch, stop using it.
  • If the model includes magnets, keep the torch away from magnetic cards and sensitive electronic devices.
