Main risks

• Strangulation or entanglement with straps, cords, elastic bands or poorly fitted collars.
• Ingestion of small parts, buckles, embellishments, tags or batteries in accessories that include them.
• Skin irritation, chafing or allergies due to materials or an overly tight fit.
• Injuries from sharp edges, broken parts or worn seams.
• Interference with breathing, vision or mobility when the accessory covers the muzzle, eyes, neck or limbs.
• Overheating of surfaces due to prolonged sun exposure; additional risk during charging of electrical accessories.
• Suffocation with plastic bags or other packaging materials.
• Entrapment of the collar or ID tags on fences, branches or protruding objects.

Safe use

• Choose the correct size and fit the accessory snugly but without constricting; check the fit frequently, especially in growing animals.
• Supervise the animal when wearing leads, clothing, muzzles or other accessories that could snag or be chewed.
• Before each use, check fastenings, seams and attachment points; if there is any damage or looseness, stop using the product.
• Remove and dispose of the packaging immediately; keep bags and plastic film out of reach.
• Introduce the accessory gradually and watch for signs of stress, discomfort or irritation; remove it if they appear.
• Do not modify the product or use it for purposes other than those specified by the manufacturer.
• If it includes electrical components or batteries, ensure the compartment is securely closed; keep batteries and chargers out of reach of pets and children. Charge on a stable, ventilated surface and away from liquids.
• Avoid sudden tugs or using the accessory to lift or drag the animal.

Storage and maintenance

• Store accessories in a dry, ventilated place, protected from direct sunlight and heat sources.
• If they get wet, dry them completely before storing to prevent bad odours, mould or deterioration.
• Clean with water and mild soap or as directed in the product instructions; rinse thoroughly so no residues remain that the animal could lick.
• Remove hair, sand and dirt from buckles and zips so they function properly.
• Check for wear regularly; replace the accessory if you notice cracks, deformation, loose threads or stretched elastic.
• Store small parts, spares and batteries in closed containers, out of reach of pets and children.

Usage restrictions

• Not a children's toy; keep accessories out of reach of children.
• Do not use decorative accessories or those not designed for this as a restraint, for pulling, or as a safety system in vehicles.
• Do not leave the animal wearing leads, ties, clothing or muzzles unsupervised for extended periods; remove them when not needed or if they are wet.
• Avoid use in cases of wounds, skin irritation or respiratory problems; choose accessories that do not press on the affected area.
• Do not use accessories with electrical components in rain, snow or immersion unless expressly indicated by the manufacturer.
• Keep accessories away from flames, heaters and other heat sources.
• For pets with a strong tendency to bite or chew, use only robust accessories and under supervision.
