Usage Warnings

Seats and Backrests

Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Movement of the seat, cushion or backrest under braking or cornering if not properly secured, potentially leading to loss of control.
  • Interference with the seat-mounted side airbag if its deployment zones are covered.
  • Obstruction of the seat belt, buckle, seat controls or sliding rails.
  • Alteration of driving posture (height, distance to pedals/steering wheel) which may cause fatigue or slower reaction times.
  • On heated or massage models: risk of overheating, minor burns or short circuits due to improper use or damaged wiring.
  • Loose cables or connectors that could snag on pedals or levers.
  • Deterioration of straps, stitching or foam that reduces support and stability.

Safe use

  • Check compatibility with your vehicle and seat before installing. If the seat has a side airbag, use only products that clearly state they do not interfere with its deployment and keep that area clear.
  • Secure the product firmly following the manufacturer's instructions. Before driving, verify that it does not move and that it does not cover the seat belt buckle or block controls, armrests or the handbrake.
  • Check that the seat rails travel their full range smoothly and without obstruction, and that the backrest can recline and lock normally.
  • After installation, readjust the seat, steering wheel and mirrors to maintain a comfortable posture and proper control of pedals and visibility.
  • Do not stack multiple cushions or backrests; this may increase instability and cover critical areas of the seat.
  • Do not pierce, cut or modify the product or the seat mountings. If it warps, cracks or loses grip, remove it.
  • On heated/massage models: route the cable away from pedals and levers, ensure the connector is seated firmly; do not cover the cushion with blankets or other covers; monitor the temperature and switch it off when not in use.
  • Make any necessary adjustments with the vehicle stationary; avoid handling straps or supports while driving.

Storage and maintenance

  • Clean with a slightly damp cloth and mild soap; avoid solvents, bleaches or abrasives that could damage fabrics and foams.
  • For electrical products, unplug before cleaning; do not immerse or wet connectors or mechanisms; allow to dry completely before using again.
  • Periodically check stitching, straps, buckles, non-slip bases and, where applicable, the wiring. Replace the product if you notice wear, tears or failing fasteners.
  • Store in a dry, ventilated place, away from heat sources and prolonged direct sunlight to prevent warping and discolouration.
  • Avoid compressing it for long periods; store it flat or slightly rolled, as designed, without placing weight on top.
  • After sudden braking or an impact, recheck fastenings and overall condition before continuing to use it.

Restrictions of use

  • Do not use the product on seats with a side airbag if compatibility is not guaranteed or if it covers the deployment area.
  • Do not use on the driver's seat if it cannot be secured stably or if it interferes with the seat belt, pretensioner, buckle, seat mountings, controls or headrest.
  • Do not cover or combine with other covers or cushions that may reduce stability, ventilation or the correct functioning of heating elements.
  • Avoid using heat/massage functions on people with reduced sensitivity to heat or pressure. If using heat, do not keep it continuously active for prolonged periods.
  • Do not use improvised electrical adapters or extension leads that are not suitable for the product's power consumption.
  • If installation involves handling seat mountings, pretensioners or the vehicle's wiring, have it installed by a qualified technician.
